It seems to decrease the font to allow space for more quirks, but doesnt allow to have more than 6 ( i play modded but have it a top priority and still wont work)

Excuse me, sorry to disturb you. There is a critical mistake in this mod about Compatibility: you should not use "rules.json" to override the whole global rule file, which cause other mods that need to override some specific rules cannot to function correctly.
To fix this, you must use the compatible file name "XXX.rules.json", by adding a prefix in it. Then you must ONLY write those specific rules that you need to change, ANY OTHER rules that are not concerned in your mod should not appear in your "XXX.rules.json". Only by doing so, can your mod have truly high compatibility, while the function of your mod still remains unchanged.

It seems, that this mod causes some problems with the Diseases that should ba incompatible with other ones like CC, probably due to extension of quirks disease had also been extended and other diseases could appear with CC, since it sill takes only 3 slots.

The game also have internal logic which will correct the save in order to prevent corruption.
If you uninstall this mod then the game will remove extra quirks from your mercenaries.
You'll have to re-earn those quirks if you reinstall the mod.

The mod works in whatever load order you put it in.
Unless you have mods that conflict with this mod (my 5 Trinkets and Inventory mods do conflict with 10 Quirks due to the UI visual), placing this mod on the top of the load order may break the other ones.
You can back up your save by backing up the "userdata" folder in your Steam directory in the case of save corruption. Note that the "userdata" usually includes saves from other games as well.
For Darkest Dungeon saves specifically, find the folder that contains "profile_0" in it and try to remember its number in address if you are more computer-savvy.

thank you so much for the response, sorry for my ignorance I just get a bit anxious when I download mods that change core game mechanics since I dont want my save to corrupt. Would you suggest I load this mod at the top?

If I don't write about a certain mod group in the "Compatibility" section, you can assume that whatever mod you're using within that group (which I don't write about) is compatible.
So no, it doesn't affect classes' skills nor trinkets.

would this work with mods that change how skills work? for example mods that modify the flagellents redeem/reclaim skills to not have limited uses? or the butchers circus single player trinkets? Sorry if these are dumb questions, I have little information on mod conflict
