I have a request though if at all possible? I'm trying to make myself a large inter-modal yard. I require cargo platforms that are just plain concrete. Preferably to match the "cover for track" mod, or an entire station with concrete texture and empty cargo bays would also work nicely :)
Basically I'd like to have a truck station as long as possible running alongside a train station track, then I can straddle the 2 with an inter-modal crane to set the scene. I could then repeat the process to make a large yard that has good visuals and realism (especially if someone made a container crane that was animated back and forth!)
If this is possible or something you'd be interested in making please let me know :)
You might want to categorise as Truck Station on Steam so it gets found more easily
You can build it yourself though, by adding a side track and small cargo platform? That's what I've been doing forever with passenger stations, have one main station in the city that the mainline goes through and then a bolt-on side track, 40-80 meters long, that's for small shuttle services from smaller towns and villages. Bet it'd work well with cargo hubs too
I hate requesting stuff, but since this mod proves the concept... any chance for a simple 1850-appropriate module, e.g. without 20th century light poles on it (maybe just a simple wood/stone/manure slab)? That's the single most glaring ugliness in the game, to me.
I can almost handle the lifting jack in the roadside cargo stop, at least it's tiny and kinda hidden. And even the default road depot looks "okay" for 1850, though overkill for building horse carts - and again thank you for that Coach Works depot for that reason. There are a lot of "that's wrong in 1850" things, but most are at least tolerable. But those tall electric light poles in the default truck station, in 1850, are just absurd.
All that said... this was a must-have as well. Now at least I can stop imagining tiny gremlins pouring oil drums in/out of the tankers. Thank you!
the new platform should be there for you to choose
