@Williamhky you need to buy a blueprint for this turf from a hermit crab and then craft it using two broken shells in the structures tab

Wait does this also increase the price of the recipe or does it just allow you to craft 4 pieces of turf for the price of 1?

Would you consider making it possible to craft naturally present turfs as well? It would make it easier and more convenient for us, basebuilders. Perhaps make it toggleable in the configuration menu, so that people who don't need them can just not enable them in the first place.
