Without looking into your code I have an idea what might cause the problem. My "midgame start" is not at default. I always alter it. Maybe this causes the problem and not AM. Can it be the case that your internal "default" is not updated at game start? Just an idea.
First off all thnaks for your work. Really adss somethimg to the game. I have a similar problem as MidnightCoffee and I'm running AM as well. The Khan does not spawn until I force him to do so by menue. AM is located above your mod in the load order. There is no other way to load it because I'm running UI-O as well and AM needs to be loaded prior to UI-O to enable the biger planet view of UI-O.
Maybe that helps you to see what goes wrong.
BTW. The Khan is as little weak. The AI Empires killed him around 10 mins after he has spawned. Happened the last 3 games. Playing at Admiral level with highest aggro settings.
I mean, with the new federations system, this should be kinda doable right?
