really good mod, but unforunately the performance impact is significant
crispy 17. nov. 2024 kl. 23:35
This mod makes my game run incredibly slow. It goes from blazing fast at speed 5 to several times slower. No other mod is being used.
The people not seeing a performance dip probably play the whole game at speed 4 or lower.
Goblin 15. jan. 2024 kl. 18:39
hey I really like the mod, can you recommend a way to make this compatible with the shattered map mods?
roku-mg 5. dec. 2023 kl. 17:55
Great Mod. In non-European regions it's a must to play,
but "Rio Grand" trade node only "COAHUILTECO" province, Others provinces "Null" trade node detected.
Jim Dandy 13. okt. 2023 kl. 9:31
Love this! Thanks so much. Not seeing much performance dip so not sure what @Argon is running
Argon 1. nov. 2022 kl. 10:15
Nice Mod, But a horror for the Performance.
Licarious Fenrir  [ophavsmand] 29. juli 2022 kl. 10:38
Yes, this version will continue to work until EU4 gets another map changing update which according to Tinto sounds like it wont.
FeralZ 29. juli 2022 kl. 10:21
work with 1.33? ty
max.94  [ophavsmand] 1. feb. 2022 kl. 6:22
Thank you Licarious so much for develop this mod further through the 1.30ies, the increasing options for many countries are so important compare to Vanilla. I think it's a good compromise between historic european supremacy and opportunities for Asian and African Powers.
Noah 19. dec. 2021 kl. 20:48
Nevermind, it seems to have been a mod incompatibility.
Noah 14. dec. 2021 kl. 13:35
I think it crashes my game as well in 1.32, not necessarily in the beginning but later on.
Licarious Fenrir  [ophavsmand] 5. dec. 2021 kl. 9:13
I just loaded it up and everything is working fine.
rimelo86 5. dec. 2021 kl. 6:43
doesn't work on 1.32
Octowy 5. dec. 2021 kl. 3:41
it dosent looks to work with 1.32 as it crashes
Porcelain Doll 13. nov. 2021 kl. 6:40
I am a great fan of this mod, especially with how Trade has been redone in China. I apologize for demanding stuff in comments, but is it possible (or rather, are there plans) to add Yumen into the Chinese "Network"? Make it flow back into Xi'an, or similar?

It always struck me as odd that you got all these missions to conquer Central Asia / SEA as Qing, but you could never move the trade back to Beijing / Hangzhou, very odd. Its really a shame how hardcoded this game is into being "Europe strong".
Licarious Fenrir  [ophavsmand] 2. sep. 2021 kl. 14:34
You could probably reverse the Nippon-Malacca route. I prefer the view that route as the way an expansionist east Asian power like China, Korea, or Japan can pull trade from eastern India.
Mugen 2. sep. 2021 kl. 12:45
I'm sorry, I do not understand this at all. why would a trade node going out of nippon go around west. couldn't just potentially one of the routes be reversed?

I agree tho, I hope EU5 will feature dynamically changing trade nodes/trade system.
Licarious Fenrir  [ophavsmand] 2. sep. 2021 kl. 12:16
Hopefully EU5 will have a more dynamic trade system.
Licarious Fenrir  [ophavsmand] 2. sep. 2021 kl. 11:52
A route south out of Nippon would have to go fairly far west (Zambezi / Cape of Good Hope) to git around the Nippon/Beijing return path from Malacca.
Mugen 2. sep. 2021 kl. 9:48
the description isn't mentioning that Nippon > Hangzhou was reversed.

also I would like to request that a trade node goes from Nippon to the south, please. it should be possible to draw trade from Nippon to somewhere else than Beijing. I don't see a reason as to why not. IMO vanilla Nippon > Hangzhou was a good option
Mugen 2. sep. 2021 kl. 9:25
why is the trade node from Poly. Triangle > Nippon going east to the americas before making a weird U-turn to Nippon? this looks bad...
also while going through that U-turn there is a graphical glitch happening with these arrows.
see two 27. feb. 2021 kl. 19:37
I like the idea, but there are way too many connections in some places, like Cape and Caribbean, this makes the game too fair for everyone, otherwise it's pretty good
kreia 24. feb. 2021 kl. 2:13
No longer works, can you update it please? I would do it myself, but idk how to mod trade
ash 5. sep. 2020 kl. 21:51
Yeah unfortunately the lag is too much for me, there really isn't much to do at peacetime except speed 5 so this mod slows it down painfully. I have an SSD and a 1080 and just can't run this without major slowdown.
taigarion13 11. juli 2020 kl. 11:50
Sorry, I missed seeing your past comments...
But I still think English Channel node also should be the end node.
Can you cut the connection between Lubeck node and E.C. node?
Then, can you connect Lubeck node directly to some nodes in America or Africa?
taigarion13 11. juli 2020 kl. 11:32
However...
Why did you decide Lubeck node as the end node?
Why didn't you choose English Channel node?
It seems to be bit strange.
Is it because of power balance?
(/≧◇≦\) 8. juli 2020 kl. 12:32
Too laggy for me, sadly.
taigarion13 7. juli 2020 kl. 2:00
nice
max.94  [ophavsmand] 20. juni 2020 kl. 23:13
@WTID dont play on Speed 5 :D ! With more Traderoutes its more exhausting for the game to compute. The Tradesystem needs a lot of capicity - so if youre a 5-speeder and got a cheapy-PC - unfortunately this mod will be very laggy.
Licarious Fenrir  [ophavsmand] 20. juni 2020 kl. 20:00
yes, I am seeing some slow down mid game.
WTID 20. juni 2020 kl. 7:13
there is so much fps drop like 50 to 20 you should lower to modding of nodes . i was encountered same thing while i modded end nodes keep that in mind. i wish my pc handle your mod but itsnt still cool mod ty
Limercia 20. juni 2020 kl. 2:08
With your two last updates my game start doing everyday lag like something goes wrong, my current date is 1640, maybe there is some issue with one of new routes?
max.94  [ophavsmand] 19. juni 2020 kl. 23:48
@WilliamAtlas
we probably add triggered provincial modifiers to push an english london and an holland amsterdam with a Tradecenter-like-buff always active for AI and unlockable for players
WilliamAtlas 19. juni 2020 kl. 15:45
@max.94 yeah 100% agree a player would manage... the poor AI though :'(
max.94  [ophavsmand] 19. juni 2020 kl. 15:39
@WilliamAtlas as a Player of ENG/HOL its very easy to keep your Tradepower so high that just a bit goes through the channel to lubeck thanks to merchant and tradeships in lubeck - for AI...well, my recommendation for EU4 is always multiplayer :D
Licarious Fenrir  [ophavsmand] 19. juni 2020 kl. 13:33
@Jonas
Sorry, but that is beyond the scope of this mod.

@WillamAtlas
I will think about it, no promises though. In my game current game England is managing to retain most of the trade in that node. Lubeck might be doing better overall, but that looks very slight. I will need to run a few observer games to know more.
Jonas 19. juni 2020 kl. 13:02
Really nice mod, would you bother making a quality of life expansion eg a button that recalls all active merchants?
WilliamAtlas 18. juni 2020 kl. 23:56
@max.94 I'm in my third game on this mod, this patch. I think this hits E.C too hard tbh. England/GB is barely making any funds in my playthroughs on this. I note the other trade nodes work like a charm; E.C was a good end node due to the conflict it would generate between France/UK and then France/UK/Netherlands. I also don't think its fair to have all Lubecks wealth be pulled into the massive potential trade power thats present in the E.C.
=>My solution would be to have Lubeck flow to Rhineland which is heavily divided (and also benefits from the comment you made re imperial cities etc.) before flowing onto E.C
=>This would also benefit a unified Germany/HRE without naval power having all its trade sucked to E.C.
TBH where the end node is placed will always be contentious due how OP it is (Eu5 hopefully won't repeat this mechanic)
max.94  [ophavsmand] 17. juni 2020 kl. 8:59
@Unicorn_Princess Lubeck is a good endnode because its hard to unify this place with the imperial cities and its also nice for the Hansa and Denmark/Scandinavia that they can colonize more effective - removing Genoa and Venice should improve also the trade options for france and austria.
The "losers" of this system, esp Genoa, Venice, England and Netherlands are strong enough to keep a lot of tradepower if they want!
Licarious Fenrir  [ophavsmand] 17. juni 2020 kl. 8:45
Lubeck being the only end node is part of the original mod. I like how it gives a little bonus to Denmark and the Hanseatic League.
Unicorn_Princess 17. juni 2020 kl. 8:31
It looks like Lubeck is an end node now, is it the only end node? What made you choose Lubeck?
Licarious Fenrir  [ophavsmand] 17. juni 2020 kl. 2:35
Thank you, you did a lot go good work in the original expand the trade possibilities those places. I can only hope that the changes I have made in expanding Mexico/Brazil and giving some life back to India can come close to that.
max.94  [ophavsmand] 17. juni 2020 kl. 0:49
Thank you for bring my ol' mod to 1.30! This offers so much more options for many countries in difference to the boring vanilla-tradesystem. I can really recommend to play Denmark or Japan or Ethiopia or Morocco or Mali with this mod!
Nuggz 16. juni 2020 kl. 0:17
it updated when i was still playing lmao; 8:57pm my time
Licarious Fenrir  [ophavsmand] 16. juni 2020 kl. 0:13
Sounds like your local copy has not updated yet.
Nuggz 16. juni 2020 kl. 0:03
I see neither, kinda obvious that there isnt a Constantinople to Genoa when the trade for Constantiniple is going to Crimea. St Lawrence goes to Seville, North Sea and Bordeaux
Licarious Fenrir  [ophavsmand] 15. juni 2020 kl. 22:31
That is weird it is Crimea to Constantinople on my observer save. Do you see a Constantinople to Genoa or a Gulf of St. Lawrence to White Sea?
Nuggz 15. juni 2020 kl. 21:56
i have the game open and trade is still moving towards Crimea from Constantinople though. Also i meant that saves from 1.30 are crashing when i try to load em up
Licarious Fenrir  [ophavsmand] 15. juni 2020 kl. 21:09
Generally major updates like this break saves, And Paradox has spent the past 18 months developing this DLC. I would imagine that their might be a bit more difficult than normal to load a save form before 1.30.

Constantinople to Crimea was part of the original mod. I reversed that back to vanilla in the last update.
Nuggz 15. juni 2020 kl. 20:40
yeah it wasnt this mod either and idk what it is. ever since the update, trying to load up a save crashes the game. Also i really question why u made trade move NORTH into Crimea
