I am deeply impressed by your very ambitious project, and sad that you couldn´t finalize it.

"Z level" mod is dead.

If you want a successor than search for the "multiloors" mod.
It don't have all the feature of Z levels but it seems very good planned, have a better performance and compatibility and is a WIP.

So please, if you love Z level support the author of multifloors mod, rate, like the mod and spread the word.

This is probably the best chance we have to get a good mod with Z level finally.

For those looking for a replacement after this was seemingly abandoned, Deeprim seems like the best bet.

I think that the Ancient Urban Ruins dev should add buildable stairs (to make your own floors) to his mod, so hope aint lost people, soon we will have smth like this in 1.5

this mod is not possible for 1.4 and up, most sad.

i would pay good money just to have this in the base game. PLEASE CAN SOMEONE WHO KNOW CODE PLEASE BRING THIS BACK

Last activity on mod was 4 years ago. And people still thinking they will update it. I am surprised they havent pulled it down by now honestly. At this point there will never be a update unless some one new decides to take over. It was awesome in its day but its run its course sadly.

Believe it was becoming too much work. Taking all his time or such. And game updates causing issues. He explained at one point long ago but.. i forget exact reason.

DeepRim is just more complexed and unnecesarry mining thing, which require constant manual input to work, it isn't worth it

That mod only allows underground drilling, not multi-story buildings like this one did

As far as I can tell this mod is sort of a spiritual continuation, haven't tried it too much though

i agree it would be awesome to have this mod back bit it is incredibly hard to just add floors to the game without altering base code just like riwmorld empires, rimwar, combat extended, rimworld multiplayer and so-forth

when and if that addon comes back, we will make all of our colonists party in the 50th floor of a building!

It's really not the same, but...
The only mod I'm aware of which is remotely similar is DeepRim (Continued) . But, last I checked, that one is missing a lot of the functionality and features of this one.

Even if its abandoned, the new anomaly dlc's use of pocket maps could be implemented with this if anyone chose to update it.

I guess if people wanted they could hire Taranchuk to update this and smooth it out to completion. Someone said the VE dev team have this planned...
