You can still use CAP and not use wiremod (still need to sub it tho). The shield works without it being wired up, same for all things in CAP. The only way it will require anything else to work, is if Space Build 3 was also subscribed to (but its not required if you are only using the good stuff, like the stargates, doors, shields, cloaking fields, weapons, etc.

what is CAP?

CAP is absolutely better than this garbage and you should absolutely use it for shields over this thing if you don't mind the extra bloat. I might remake this some time in the future to not crash if I have time but no promises. Source code has been freely available for a while if anyone wanted to do it themselves though.

CAP might be discontinued, but unlike this mod, it works. Not to mention CAP adds more than just a shield, it adds many many things, including (but not limited to) a stealth field generator where all entities and objects inside are invisible.

It's sad that this mod is unsupported, it's probably one of the only configurable forcefield mods out there.

Depends on map. Usually as long as you keep it under like 100 it's OK.

What size?

Barely works. It's decent as long as you keep it under a certain size.

Does this work now or not? It is VERY hard to find a working shield generator mod that's not a personal shield or an actual shield you hold..

The bug is that it passes through objects created on the map, for example, on the map of Anahes there a shield passes through the mountain

You aren't meant to be able to shoot from inside. That's how shield generators work in Star Wars.

Me and my friends tried it out and I got shot while I was standing inside but he didnt get shot while I shooting at him from the inside

All 4 shields should stop both normal weapons, like TFA blasters or normal Half-Life 2 weapons, and physical projectiles, like RPG rounds, grenades, and crossbow bolts. This applies to things like LFS ship weapons and missiles as well. What weapons specifically are you having issues with? Are you certain they're actually going through and dealing damage, or is it just a visual effect? Please post a comment in the pinned bug reports thread and include a link to the weapons you are having issues with :)

what types of weapon damage is this suppose to stop? Because its not stopping any shots I shoot at it

@Poseツ I've had a few people say they experience a crash when using this addon. If you could post a comment in the pinned bug reports thread detailing what you were doing immediately before the crash, and what kind of addons you have installed, I will be able to look into it.
