is there a way to further modify how fast these things go???

Sorry mvrylee. I thought I had posted a patch for this problem a while ago. Just put it up!

Great Mod. Just wish I didn't have to save and close and then boot up the game again for it to render properly. But other wise works great. Can still get a bit of a pile of people, but it doesn't last long, especially if you have multiple escalators that people can funnel down.

If you're unsure about this mod, don't be. It's able to keep up with even the most busy of airports.
Have multiple XL stands unloading at once? No problems here! Just place 1 Fast Escalator!
