the ufo does have ions, but thats mostly for parking purposes and connector positioning, normally i turn the ions off when yeeting around, ill let you know how it runs when i print out the blueprint in survival.

i have never tested it as such, the script looks at thrusters for its calculation of max cruise and max thrust, but the limits max should still work.

does this work with gravity engines? i have a custom scripted ufo i developed that goes omnidirectional from 0>100 instantly

Love the mod!!
Note that you also have to manually open your chute when starting a new game in a landing pod.
The other mod for "unknown signal beacons - Earlier Parachute" fixes those.

@Jade try using a mod like this https://psteamcommunity.yuanyoumao.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1115463471 It will deploy drop container parachutes earlier so they are able to slow down.

Mindspaces configurable ship speed mod also has this built in, but I prefer these relative top speed mods.

Speeds are speeds. No way to omit the pods. This happens with all higher speed setting mods in worlds.

Additional: I disabled the mod to make sure this was the one affecting the beacons, and with it off, beacon behavior returned to normal (not disappearing).

I tried this out and thoroughly enjoyed the increased speed limits -- high-speed collisions and deaths notwithstanding. :lunar2019laughingpig:

However, I later noticed that unknown signal beacons appeared to fall through the planet's surface -- or more likely, crashing into the surface and being completely obliterated before their parachutes have a chance to slow them down (or are ineffective at such a high speed).

Is there a way to exempt these beacons from the speed limit increase?
