You can open Portal 1/2's soundscapes file in game's archive and check original sounds. In my port I using metal sounds for opening doors from HLA

Do you know the name of the door opening sound effect and the cube dropper sound effect? I really want to use them for portal 1 and 2 but can't find them in the game files.

if they made portal gun available in workshop, fans would make VR portal.... so either they don't want us to have it or they are working on VR portal game

This is what I want. It doesn't matter if we don't get a working Portal Gun, I *need* as many maps from Source games as possible ported to Alyx. They'll look 500x better and exploring them in VR is/will be the greatest thing to happen to mankind.

My friend is working on sound and collision fix. It will be soon. About future projects I don't know. Maybe I'll import maps from other Source Engine games or I'll create my own map. About portal mechanic, I can't do this in Workshop Tools 'cause it's very difficult.

Hello. The custom sounds are not working, and instead of going up with the elevator I go trough the floor. You may need to add "vo." in front of the sound files for them to work. That helped another map at least.

The map is updated with sounds and player clip in elevator. Please let me know if it works.

Good job but the lighting is not like the original at all.
Portal uses lighting that surrounds the entire map, effectively like a light ring.
