Would you so be kind as to explain a little more about this?
Also, would this mod work with mods that only change the battle AI?

It won't work as they're both big overhauls and conflict with each other. I have had plans to incorporate the Qin content into New World with my own custom twist, but sadly I'm not sure I have the time to do so nowadays as modding has taken a lower priority due to personal things in my life. We'll see if this changes in the future. Thanks for the suggestion though!

This mod is an overhaul and changes all sorts of things, even edicts, buildings, factions, lighting, shaders...

If you put this main mod at the bottom of load order, optionally with Bella Italica above it or Megron's unit pack, it works and does not crash for me, and I've been playing it a lot of hours these days.

I also add a personal difficulty level effects tweak mod at the top of the load order, and a mod that halves required EXP to level up for characters and armies and gives 2 skill points per level, this on above the main mod, below my own tweaks mod. I'm sure this one isn't fully compatible but still works, though not with also Bella Italica, I think.

In short, are you getting issues with just this main mod, or could there be conflicts with other mods? And I recommend placing this main mod at the bottom.

Every time I return to this mod, I constantly encounter technical problems. Every hour the game crashes to the desktop. In my last session with the Samnites, after 3 battles with Rome, my save stopped loading quickly and I had to roll back about 15 turns. I highly recommend not touching the mod until it is fixed.

This is my most must-have Rome 2 mod. It changes quite a bit with the new buildings and resources and map, so it feels like a different, new experience. The units look beautiful, Rome 2 is still today a game with wonderful battles. I am a big fan of the addition of formations for many units. Testudos and phalanx and shield wall, it feels much more dynamic and tactical, and it's a pleasure to see. Clearly a ton of effort and care went into the unit models as well.
Thank you so much for adding naval units too. I get that the naval combat is a bit iffy in this game, but at least we have it! I still can't believe the standard game, giving only levy trash mobs for many factions' fleets!
Anybody happening on this page, absolutely try this out.

Do the Amazons simply not work anymore? Only this mod is active, and I won't get 10 turns in without crash to desktop. Do each have a unit in the Hellenic Traditions tree that belongs only to them as displayed in Custom Battle (Legionaires for Nova Amazonia, the many archers for Amazonia).

Hey bro. I appreciate your mod. However, I encounter an error where I start the siege of a city port, the map will turn into the land battle and the ships are still there but not controllable then it crash. Just let you know it. It is still a great mod as I enjoyed it :). If you can fix this, it will be great :)

unfortunately English is the only supported language for this mod. If you try to play with any other language setting, you'll end up with missing text entries everywhere. Someone will have to localize it and make a submod.

(Part 5, added on later) I do also want to quickly add that this doesn't mean AI was used to create the core mod. I am a game development student after all.

I spent years learning the engine and how to mod it. I spend countless hours learning to script in LUA to make events and custom occurrences in the campaign. I spent countless hours in Photoshop, Substance Painter, and 3DS Max making new unit cards, weapons and equipment, character skins, retextures, etc... And I spent equally as long filling out the gameplay databases creating new entries for units, buildings, technologies, balancing stats, and bringing friends in for rigorous testing and balancing... but creating large composition pictures depicting cities, people, and delicate events is simply out of my skill set, and I used AI to fill in the gaps.

(Part 4) One time, someone came into my Discord, very angry and used vulgar language, and demanded that I pay artists to make the art rather than use AI. My response is the same response I'll give now; if you are happy to donate hundreds, possibly thousands, of dollars for me to go and hire artists, I'd be happy to forgo AI - but unless that happens, I will have to rely on AI to generate art for event pictures and loading screens. I already spent thousands of hours of my own time making this mod and keeping it updated for all to enjoy, and demanding me to fork over money to provide a mod you can play for free, just came off as very immature of that person and really just sounded like someone on the AI hate bandwagon. I can understand their frustration as a fellow creative myself when seeing how AI is affecting our job market, but we also have to be realistic with our expectations and demands.

(Part 3) But where I think AI shines the most and is totally fine to use, is in hobbyist fields and extra-curricular work like mods, fan projects, etc... the kind of projects that are done on the side and make very little to no monetary profit whatsoever. This is not the kind of market that professional artists and their pricing models are tailored for, and it would not be mature to demand me to fork over hundreds of dollars into making a mod which sees close to zero income.

(Part 2) Simply put, I do not have the skills nor the money to pay actual artists to create art pieces for the mod. Especially in the upcoming undead campaign, where visuals and custom event images are CRUCIAL to the immersive environment I want to create, I simply have no choice but to use AI or choose to forgo my creative vision entirely and just not make the mod. As a game development student at university, I understand the hard work and passion that goes into making real art; and every artist deserves to have their skills and talents put to use, and I understand the sad reality that AI is sometimes being used to replace those artists in commercial ventures.

(Part 1) Hey, thank you for your honest feedback. I do want to make a quick statement about something regarding AI art.

While I do agree that the specific art in there is outdated at this point (it was generated using early AI models and as such, is very flawed) and should be replaced, I'm not against using more modern AI systems to generate replacements, and I'd like to take a minute to explain why.

@j.yellow28 I know, but I saw a month ago a video on the yt channel the terminator who said that the developer of this mod was planning of adding the undead faction even in the campaign of the main mod. I don't know if the plans have been chenged since then.

Hi all!
Sorry for the radio silence as I've been super busy with life. This mod is NOT dead, and I'm hard at work on the super-secret expansion coming soon, hehe! (Join Discord for more info + a demo!).

I will try to answer some questions now.

1) The game might say the mod is out of date but just click ignore and continue, it'll work fine.
2) The Rhodes issue is currently a priority and I'm trying to find a solution. For now, please just try to either auto-resolve the battles in Rhodes or assault from the land only.
3) The Achaean League, Thessalian League, etc.. are just two of many emergent factions that will spring up as the game goes on. It adds flavour, even if their factions and rosters are just reskins of vanilla factions. The reason the aforementioned aren't playable is because they really don't have anything unique about their unit rosters and are only there to add flavour.
4) @Torvald what's VC?

I have noticed the acheaen league and thessalian league on the map, are these the results of confederation between two factions? Or will they be added as a faction pack similar to the italian leagues pack?

Have had an issue when assaulting Rhodes in 2 different campaigns where its a land only siege, doesn't load port even w/ naval reinforcements. Game crashed last siege attempt.

grand campaign Venti wont let you access full roaster due to the building not being able to produce the units,but overall the mod is great! hope it still getting updates.
