OK, so I have the addon in Gmod, is there any way to load the rig in Gmod itself? On it's oown the model doesn't pose too easily... can the rig only be used for SFM?

@Danny Baluche check the SourceFilmmaker\game\workshop\scripts\sfm folder and see if rig_biped_kid.py is in there. if so move it to the "animset" folder, if you don't have this folder just make one where the file currently is and drop it in. the file should now be in SourceFilmmaker\game\workshop\scripts\sfm\animset. and should show up in the rig dropdown.

@stephsozzy The model is not included, this is just the rig. the model is on the gmod workshop not the sfm one. If you own gmod and subscribe to it there, you can download gma extractor (tutorial is here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h2h2h7AFG84 with a download link)
then you can just put the files in your usermod folder
