I beg of you or someone to update this, I could honestly see them making this a part of the base game at some point it is so helpful
Suniver 8
So underated, especially with Oddyssey ! Would love an update of the mod :)

Hello.
I would like to ask you, are you planning to update the mod to 1.6?
I would be happy to know.
Kaiser Otto I 4 月 14 日 上午 9:33
Exactly what i needed
I feel like you missed the chances to call it "rim-inders"
Uncle Nanny 1
This is on my short list of must have mods for the game. Top tier! Been using it for years.
Yoann 2024
Thank you!
It works fine, very useful for short sessions
Madara Uchiha  [
@Yoann you got it. Let me know how it works or if there are any issues with it.
Yoann 2024
Could you add 'Recurring' for 'Next Load', as a way to show a letter on load until manually deleted?
Mentioned in Best Mods • Vanilla UI collection.

@Demetrio AutoHotKey is a Windows automation program that allows you to script mouse movements and keyboard inputs to do advanced macros. It isn't a RimWorld mod.
@zirize what is this AutoHotKey u talk about, cant find it
Madara Uchiha  [
@Summord you can sort of hack it, you can set a reminder to 100 years in the future and it's likely never to arrive, then set up a recurring reminder to remind yourself to look at it. But yeah, this isn't that mod, I'm afraid :D
I'd love a mod like this but as a to-do list
I use AutoHotkey to automatically register my frequently used reminders with a single shortcut key. Perfect.
Sometimes we have things that we don't realize how much we need them, until we try using them and find out that they are exactly what we need.
To add to Fuzz's suggestion, reminders for when non-seasonal holidays come off cooldown would also be wonderful.
Fuzz 2022
A nice addition to this would be a reminder for when leader abilities come off cooldown, like Convert or Work Order. As it stands, the only way to accomplish that is manually adding a reminder each time. Recurring doesn't work due to delays between reminder and casting compounding each time.

As for your planned features, quests automatically warn you when they're about to expire unless you trash/archive them, so it shouldn't be necessary?

Otherwise a brilliant mod. Thank you very much.
This mod is critical in my opinion if using rim of madness werewolves. I have missed so many full moons before getting this mod when I am trying to upgrade my werewolves, ever since I found this I never miss a full moon. Thank You!:steamhappy:
Madara Uchiha  [
@Zerus it is localized, English is the only currently supported language (since I don't know other languages supported by the game)

Feel free to submit a pull request with your translations! You can look at this for reference https://github.com/MadaraUchiha/Reminders/blob/master/Languages/English/Keyed/Reminders.xml
Zerus 2022
Are there plans to add localization in the future? I would like to use this wonderful mod in my native language)
Madara Uchiha  [
@PeasantUnit this mod doesn't have any settings or configurations at the moment. The only thing it adds is the bell icon in the main row at the bottom of the screen (near where "history" and "quests" are)
Meanie 2022
I don't see any "reminders" in the mod configuration pannel... What am I doing wrong?
Madara Uchiha  [
@Jaggid Edje - Thanks for waiting! The bug you've reported should now be fixed! You may have to redo your notifications for the desync to be gone (sorry, can't retroactively fix that T_T), but deleting notifications should no longer desync the remaining ones!

Please let me know if it works <3.
Jaggid Edje 2021
Ahh, that makes sense. Also explains why i didn't see the problem at all today. I didn't manually remove any, but do sometimes.
Madara Uchiha  [
@Jaggid Edje the issue is caused when you (manually) remove reminders. The act of removing screws with the order of the notifications list, and since I only check the first in the list, I assume that it is sorted correctly.

That is the root of the issue.
Jaggid Edje 2021
Something that I noticed yesterday is that the 3 reminders in a row that went negative without popping up were all alerts for which I had not entered any "Body" text, only a subject/title.

It was only 3, so it could just be a coincidence...such a small sample. But I did go through and add body text to all of my reminders after noticing it. I haven't had one go negative without a reminder since then. Which could also just be a streak of good fortune... I'll let you know if that changes.
Jaggid Edje 2021
Oh, cool, thank you. I had literally 0 expectations because no one else was reporting the issue, so if you do fix it I'll be incredibly happy.
Madara Uchiha  [
Thank you! I suspect this is a bug in the vanilla priority queue I'm using to list the reminders in order of firing. I'll try to get a fix out soon, hopefully over the weekend.
Jaggid Edje 2021
Aright, had one go negative and not popup the alert.

Jaggid Edje 2021
No, it doesn't happen all the time; Maybe 10% of the time? Or even less. Also no error being thrown that I saw.

I've tried figuring out if there's something I do which specifically leads to it, but haven't figured out anything specific yet. It seems to happen regardless of whether I used an explicit date and time or relative time, as I use a mix of them both.

I don't notice it has happened until they are already negative and counting down, so what precisely could have been happening when it actually failed to pop is a little unclear, unfortunately.

I don't have any reminders that are negative at the moment, but the next time I see one I'll post the hugslib link here and put the save file on a shared drive for you. Shouldn't take too long.
Madara Uchiha  [
It should already do that. https://github.com/MadaraUchiha/Reminders/blob/master/Source/RemindersGameComponent.cs#L60 Note the <=

Do you get any errors? Can you attach a HugsLib log? Also, it might help-depending on the root cause-if you could upload your savefile somewhere.

Also, does it happen every time? Some time? Only for reminders scheduled in absolute time? relative time? next load? Any specific steps you do that you think causes it to happen?
Jaggid Edje 2021
I have an issue with the reminders where sometimes they don't send the alert and the display of reminders where it lists all your reminders and how long until each reminder will fire shows the ones that didn't send the alert as negative values.

Would it be possible to add extra checks to fire off a reminder if it has gone negative? Otherwise I don't realize they have been missed and are negative until I open to view all reminders.
Jaggid Edje 2021
I started using this mod a few days ago after looking for something to remind me that the conversion ritual was ready to be done again.

This Mod is now, hands down, my favorite mod for the entire game. Rimworld is constantly throwing so many things to do at me that I often forget something important.
Even something as simple as a Trader arriving...sure, the game tells you, but then I wait for them to get closer to my actual base and by that time I've forgotten.

Anyways, thank you SO much for sharing this mod with the community. It's awesome.
Madara Uchiha  [
It adds a tab to the bottom of the screen, though a to-do window thing could be interesting 🤔, perhaps in a different mod with integrations to this one. I'll think about it.
Does this add a window like Moody does? Or is it just a tab at the bottom of the screen? I've been wanting a "To Do List" type mod for a long time, so I'm happy to find anything that adds that to the game. Looking forward to trying this.
This seems to be a perfect mod for me as I tend to forget a lot of thigns I had in mind for the future. (Hopefully I remember to come back and say how it worked out for me)
Madara Uchiha  [
Well, scratch that. Apparently this was easier than expected. Enjoy! Please let me know if there are any issues.
Madara Uchiha  [
I do, though I can't commit to a timeline. Hoping to get some time this weekend for some love for my mods.
Lewiss.
Do you have any plans to update this mod to 1.3 in the future?
Hades the King 2021
thanks, it seems to be fixed :)
Madara Uchiha  [
@Hades the King - This should now be fixed. Please update and let me know :)

Thanks :)

Thank you for the report and the logfile! I'll look into it.
