Can we get this for Warhammer 3?
Allcraft 8. mar. 2022 kl. 20:50
Nice mod. Now I'll be overrun in the next few turns xD
steelwarrior77 2. mar. 2022 kl. 21:20
Works with sfo?

Hi reader; I am writing this in case you were in the same position as me, hunting through the Workshop for an ideal End Times Worthy Chaos Invasion mod.

This is it. This is The One Mod. Just get it and forget all of the other garbage on the Workshop, most of which does not work at all. This is highly compatible, trouble-free and simply works.

The Turn 50 variant also works flawlessly, but I don't personally recommend it because - while kind of novel - the Chaos stacks just raze the whole map. Nobody can even remotely resist them except you, which very quickly makes the experience devolve into lightning strikes on a barren, desolate waste. Thematically fitting but IMHO pretty boring.

This one hits the right sweet spot.

does this work in multiplayer?
Ptfx 21. sep. 2021 kl. 8:07
Hi, I dont use any overhaul, to make sure this mod work do I need to place it first ?
Ajusticiador de Maricos 17. sep. 2021 kl. 6:35
Hi, I tried this mod but the invasion never happened.
AngrySheep 3. sep. 2021 kl. 3:38
Quick question - sorry if its a bit lame, is this save compatible?

I am having a really wasted campaign and nearing turn 100 so would love to turn this on to create that "Kick" Chaos needs to overcome the dwarf tide in front of me!
Gadsden 26. aug. 2021 kl. 17:16
Thanks for taking the time to make this work again Fifty, I really appreciate your hard work.
FiftyTifty  [ophavsmand] 18. aug. 2021 kl. 12:26
There we go. Sorry about that, for some reason, the chaos invasion script won't run my debug messages nor the second of my functions.

Turns out, after the update, my Beastmen fix is no longer necessary, so I commented it out.

Invasions work again.
Yurie 13. aug. 2021 kl. 14:33
Still broken. No Chaos Armies spawned at all.
Kyle Draconicus 26. juli 2021 kl. 5:52
Same here with this mod too. No chaos spawns
Gadsden 25. juli 2021 kl. 19:22
I'm now not getting any Chaos spawns. I get all the proper messages through the Events Messenger and the Chaos spawn will trigger, but no armies appear.
I really enjoy this mod and would appreciate any of your thoughts on this FiftyTifty.
OnePunchGay 20. juli 2021 kl. 0:55
do i need to turn this on if im using the 50 turn spawn version?
Yurie 5. juli 2021 kl. 10:25
@Gadsden In my experience the turn 200 spawn is more like a turn 250 spawn.
Gadsden 5. juli 2021 kl. 6:33
@FiftyTifty, just a heads up, I didn't get a turn 200 spawn.
jrj1033 4. juli 2021 kl. 11:12
Hi, can you make a version of this where the invasion triggers at turn 150?
FiftyTifty  [ophavsmand] 17. juni 2021 kl. 22:07
Updated again. There were still some stragglers, nowhere near as much as before, but still. So I added support for a couple more chaos factions.
FiftyTifty  [ophavsmand] 12. juni 2021 kl. 6:59
Yayaya. I just failed my Crone Hellebron campaign, using my other version of this script but with the invasion happening at turn 50. Everyone got destroyed, my start in the Badlands was eviscerated with all my goblin vassals. Had to migrate to where Eshin starts, but Chaos had sleepers waiting for me there.
Yurie 12. juni 2021 kl. 0:54
Well that fixed that... holy hell did that fix it. I started a new game as Itza to see how it would work. Now I'm fighting like hell against two massive invasions. :haruchin:
Yurie 10. juni 2021 kl. 2:49
Meaning... all of those Chaos armies attack rather than just sitting at sea until their numbers have been thinned?

Fun fun! :beatriceemo:
FiftyTifty  [ophavsmand] 9. juni 2021 kl. 19:34
Fixed it, by using a workaround. It happens when one faction has too many armies. The game just fails to process any more past a certain threshold.

The workaround is to make use of the old chaos invasion factions, which were removed from the script when CA rewrote it. Now it works properly.
Yurie 26. maj 2021 kl. 13:20
Ok, having gone further along in campaigns, I'm now thinking it might be a game limitation rather than anything to do with this mod. As things progressed the other Chaos Armies started to move. My guess is that there are simply too many army stacks (How many is it really? 300+?) for the AI to do moves for. Perhaps the other armies start to move as Chaos thins out its strength a bit?

Still those unmoving fleets make for some good XP farming between lightning strike and armies that are easy wins even with auto-resolve. :haruchin:
Gadsden 17. maj 2021 kl. 10:29
@Yureina, I'm experiencing the exact same thing. The Chaos Armies that spawned as fleets are not moving at all. They just sit there and do nothing.

Yurie 13. maj 2021 kl. 3:07
...

I even sent a solo army out into the sea with the specific intention of trying to see if it would get mauled. I'm on VH so if it did I could just reload the save. Nothing. Since then I've been chipping away at the Chaos fleets offshore with Lightning Strike and the meanest stacks I can get. The only movement those Chaos stacks are doing is fleeing when badly outmatched or in the aftermath of a Lightning Strike.

Is this as expected? Are all these massive amounts of Chaos stacks not meant to move until some later point?
Yurie 13. maj 2021 kl. 3:07
...

...Except they weren't. Nothing happened. The massive fleets Chaos had didn't move at all. Eventually I scouted out the oceans and the two vanilla Chaos invasion points at the Chaos Wastes and Naggaroth. I found more "fleets" of 30+ stacks: two at the bottom of the map between Lustria and the Land of Assassins, and two more around the Dragon Spine on Ulthuan's southwestern coast. There were also the large groups of armies north of Naggaroth as expected. But... only the forces coming out of the Chaos Wastes actually had moved at all. The others seem like they are 100% passive.

...
Yurie 13. maj 2021 kl. 3:07
So I think i've ran into a different sort of bug. I had the Chaos invasion hit at Turn 100 and was immediately floored by seeing not only 75 stacks (yes, I counted) in the Chaos Wastes, but two massive groups of 30+ stacks located offshore of the Southlands with another two in the sea around Lahmia and the Dragon Isles. I have been playing as Khemri, so this freaked me out because I wasn't expecting anything to show up down here and my armies had just taken Lahmia. I had only one stack near Khemri to face the 60+ offshore. I felt like my home territories were about to get absolutely rolled.

...
FiftyTifty  [ophavsmand] 12. maj 2021 kl. 0:18
Alas, you're bugged.
Yurie 12. maj 2021 kl. 0:00
Something broke my ongoing save... or rather the Chaos invasion hasn't happened yet at turn 229. I had been at Turn 102 when I installed this and a few other related mods, so the first wave had already appeared. :komari:
FiftyTifty  [ophavsmand] 11. maj 2021 kl. 15:18
Don't worry, it still works. I checked out the script and everything, it's fine.
Yurie 11. maj 2021 kl. 14:39
The mod I found for the triple gold chevrons says it's been discontinued. :(
Yurie 11. maj 2021 kl. 13:55
Awesome. I'm gonna try that. :D
FiftyTifty  [ophavsmand] 11. maj 2021 kl. 8:30
As long as the invasion hasn't already occurred, it will work with existing saves. IIRC, The lower difficulties have a minor impact on the number of armies. For reference, I play with the Chaos Invasion set to legendary, and I've seen the entire game map in ruins, every time I've managed to get past turn 150.

Which is when I lead a last-ditch resistance, by reviving factions from ruins and making them my vassals. It's glorious.

Make sure to get the mod that grants all chaos armies triple gold chevrons for every unit.
Yurie 11. maj 2021 kl. 5:02
This sounds fun. Does it work on existing save files or do I need to start a new campaign? Also does the difficulty setting of the chaos invasion factor into this at all? Could that make this even crazier? I'm hoping for something that's actually world-threatening rather than just the Naggarond-killing i've experienced.
FiftyTifty  [ophavsmand] 19. nov. 2020 kl. 9:30
No idea. If the invasion didn't happen at turn 100, then it's not compatible.
Crimson ReapeR 19. nov. 2020 kl. 8:52
does this work with Radious/Radious slaves to darkness submod, because i played a game and had no chaos invasion happen after waiting for over 100turns.
FiftyTifty  [ophavsmand] 2. okt. 2020 kl. 18:17
That's a vanilla bug, unfortunately.
Zzz 2. okt. 2020 kl. 18:14
@Curlé Winner Hey, I think I found a bug. Seems like the chaos hordes have a tendency of just sitting out in the open sea. They all congregate in clumps and don't move or attack or anything else. Right now they are just dying off to attrition. Is this by design? Was there a missed event trigger or something?
Zzz 27. sep. 2020 kl. 16:02
@Curlé Winner Yeah, I basically had to abandon my ME Imrik campaign. I didn't see the giant horde that spawned near the Dragon Isles until it was too late. Also, WTF, how the hell did they get that fleet there when it's closed off? But yeah, definitely no surviving that, not even Legend of Total War could salvage that campaign.
FiftyTifty  [ophavsmand] 27. sep. 2020 kl. 15:58
Yeah I've been thinking of lowering it back down to 30, as all the chaos invasion factions now spawn at turn 100, unlike vanilla where only a few spawn in the first invasion event.

It's pretty damn fun leading a resistance against Chaos, but only Horde factions will have any chance at surviving it all.
Zzz 27. sep. 2020 kl. 12:57
BTW, given the number of armies you have to face, be aware that you will most likely lose your campaign. I recommend this if you really want to experience the fate of the Warhammer world
Zzz 18. sep. 2020 kl. 22:35
Nice, thanks for keeping this mod up to date
dizzy 4. aug. 2020 kl. 1:51
This is a Chaos Invasion script mod.
