why no melee weapons default?

no vr mod doesnt support addons at all im pretty sure

is compatible with No vr mod?

i was really hoping his would atleast feel like a crowbar in damage. on all modes, 5 hits to the head to kill 1 zombie. yikes

You can't pass the shotgun room without picking it up so you can play with it as your only weapon but not as your only picked up weapon

please make a machete mod

Make it storable in the glove pockets > Reduce weight = Great mod

fighting zombies with this feels less like playing half life alyx, and more like playing cry of fear vr

Hello fellow Crowbar enthusiasts!
I myself very much enjoy melee combat in VR games, and so I decided to make my own version of the Crowbar, trying to improve upon the limitations of these initial melee mods.

The mod is called "Improved Crowbar Mod"

Some of the main features are:
- The Crowbar is activated/deactivated with press of a button and it gets automatically equipped to player's hand, so no more carrying around
- Player needs to swing it at certain speed to do damage
- Upon activation the player doesn't have to keep pressing the "trigger button" to hold the crowbar;
The Crowbar can be freely moved to the other hand, be thrown or used two-handed
- The Crowbar doens't get dropped when it's hit by Zombies

I was wondering if you could make it where you can store the Crowbar in your wrist slots.

Carrying it around makes things difficult and sometimes it'll get stuck in something while I'm walking with it.

I know it can be done because the Recurve Bow mod allows the bow to be stored in the wrist slots.

its like gmod, press funni green button and go to the main menu in vr, go to addons and enable it

I wanted gordans gloves thats all and the crowbar is good It should be in the real game because what if you have no ammo but cant get in this mod makes half life alex more fun and playable

i was so mad when i saw the crowbar in the end of the game. i haven't even got to use it. this mods fixes it and now im happy.

i would love if you could store the crowbar in one of the item slots because you have to drop it all the time to do puzzles, reload, climb, etc.

I would love an addon that replaces your gloves with Gordon Freeman's

Neat mod. Its funny how badly i wanted to swing a crowbar and now i kinda see why Valve didn't include melee in the game at all. Making it feel good is a difficult thing to do and very few VR games pull it off. It was neat holding the half life 2 pistol in one hand and the crowbar in the other, though.

@TommyFortress You realize you can pick up the guns, but not use them, and just use the crowbar, right?

to the response of beating the game without picking up a weapon. its impossible, you have to pick up the pistol and shotgun to procced for example

i prefer alex gloves. is there option to change gloves?

The fact that you can't put it into your wrist pocket, made me find places to put it down (and not forget to pick it up again). In a way it is a whole new mechanic.

Really liked the effects when hitting objects with it but it's certainly not something I'd like to use for very long as you can't pocket it in your wrists and swinging physics in Alyx just feels super awkward. Could you make it a bit lighter so its a bit easier to swing and if possible make it able to fit in the wrist pockets! Do you have a patreon man?

no, in order to activate the sequence that allows you to move on to the next area you need the pistol and the shotgun and maybe the smg idk

if you can, could you make the crowbar a little lighter? Just enough that you can effectively swing it one-handed.

Also (After actually using it) why did valve make it so heavy! I can barely swing it one-handed!

I can already see wrist pocketing being needed without even subscribing.

Is there a way to make it so that you have it wherever you respawn? Whenever I die I have to either go back to the beginning of the level or reset.

I beat your challenge. I used the sandbox addon and made everything not hostile and i enabled god mode. and i could walk past everything.

I'd prefer it with the original gloves. That should be optional.

How do I get to the console

it would be interesting if it worked like ammo, in the same way that putting your hand over your shoulder grabs ammo with a gun, it would grab a crowbar with an empty hand, smoother

This mod would be so much better if you could pocket the crowbar, please this would be epjc
