Can you make this a rubber ducky instead?
ChaosRobie  [ophavsmand] 3. dec. 2020 kl. 16:46
Updated. Increased Seafang's speed quite a bit.
PremierVader 2. dec. 2020 kl. 8:13

WARLORD 19. juli 2020 kl. 8:50

djdomi44 16. juli 2020 kl. 4:36
could you make it a unit?
Dr Charko 7. juli 2020 kl. 5:07
Not sure why seafang is removed? It makes this the clear inferior choise.
James Stone 6. juni 2020 kl. 12:32
Can you add an AoE explosion that doesn't harm friendlies as a way to compensate for his massive clear potential lost by not having the Seafang spell? Something like crackling energy bursting from around the ship, or maybe a "line spell" where he uses the magics that normally summon seafang to tear a gate into the bottom of the sea which sends pressurized water to kill enemies?
fomeh.martins 22. maj 2020 kl. 6:55
You are on point. Nice one.

Great work as always!!! Being mounted on the mammoth as his endgame "best" form always bugged me, his whole deal is hunting down his targets and the mammoth felt too removed from combat. This+the mod that gives him shipbuilding finally inspired me to stick to his campaign for once. The only iffy bit for me is his speed.

The crackling chaos lightning make it look badass, as if it's really on the move, but then you zoom out and it's kinda just plodding along lol. It's a bit of a scale issue though tbf, it's so large that it doesn't *feel* like it's going fast enough, even though it's actually pretty quick for a super-heavy "chariot".

Even with that being said though, I think it could still be a bit faster. Maybe I'm wrong, but it's a level 20 mount, 4 levels more than it takes Franz to get Deathwing, AND you have to sacrifice the insane line-clearing ability that Seafang normally provides (it makes sense why ofc) I figure with all that combined, it's worthy of being kinda bonkers.

@ChaosRobie
Ah, there was a purpose to the Mortis Engine. I'll re-add it and patch that one too then.
ChaosRobie  [ophavsmand] 18. maj 2020 kl. 14:56
@James
Weight was set as 3000, I've increased it to 9500. That should take care of everything, maybe.

From a technical standpoint, it's incredibly impressive and visually amazing. From a game standpoint, it's a nerf to the Mammoth in nearly every conceivable way.

Despite what the difference in stats should indicate, the Mammoth's "punch through" animations means it's much better to disrupt formations. The 60 speed on the boat is also disappointing, since you aren't even going that much faster. The loss of Seafang means wulfrik has no way to punish blobs on his own, and to make it worse the boat seems to either have little mass compared to the mammoth or something else is off. I expected to pass through enemies like butter, yet I got stuck in the most basic chaff units in the game.

It needs something. Some punch-through ability, better animations, a worthy replacement to Seafang, something. Right now I'd even say it's weaker than the Chariot mount, since at least that doesn't get stuck on empire spearmen.
Antinomy 18. maj 2020 kl. 8:43
Is it more powerful than a mammoth? I mean, you lose access to boat spell, surely there should be a compensation? :D
Jomix7 18. maj 2020 kl. 3:44
Incredibly Cool! The Effects as well make it look terrifying!
JefTheReaper 18. maj 2020 kl. 1:28
This is one of the things I really wanted, Always wondered why they did not just add Seafang as a mount too.
ChaosRobie  [ophavsmand] 17. maj 2020 kl. 23:56
@Maal
It's subtle, but I changed "Vfx Filter ID" from 0 to 1 on the mortis engine's entity. This (and changing it's anm.meta file) allows Seafang to avoid having those green glowy effects.
Added.

This is both absurd... ... ... and awesome
AlphaAmpersandOmega 17. maj 2020 kl. 8:43
Since putting Wulfrik on Seafang makes him unable to cast Seafang, I have a suggestion-

Give him a bound wind spell that summons a rampaging mammoth. Don't tell me you don't want it! troll
Rusty Shackleford 17. maj 2020 kl. 0:30
Hell. Yes.

I love these "boat" mods. Landship, tombship, chaosship. Hopefully you can find more!
Walkabout 16. maj 2020 kl. 18:24
sweet. Is there anyway to get Cylostra on her spell as a mount?
Ciaphas Cain 16. maj 2020 kl. 16:40
Haha, madness!! Looks good though! May give it a go on my next campaign with Norsca :)
Maal 16. maj 2020 kl. 15:09
Neat, as always! And making the SFO patch as always.
It seem you've forgot a wh_dlc04_vehicle_vmp_mortis_engine_articulation in battle_entities without any changes to it. Might be worth deleting just in case if it wasn't intentional!
Blood Lightning 16. maj 2020 kl. 10:14
HOLY ****!!!!!
SirFalger 16. maj 2020 kl. 8:12
