Hairs not Adjustable by some spezies and the hairs are not correct loaded.
1. Open the .txt files 09_portraits_humanoid and 91_portraits_human in your Steam mods folder.
2. Take the files and make copies of them.
3. If you have a Python editor (you can use Jupyter notebooks by downloading Anaconda), take your copy files and put them in the Jupyter file space, create a new file to replace by writing something like:
o = open('new_91_portraits_human.txt', 'a')
for line in open("91_portraits_human.txt"):
line = line.replace("hair_selector","attachment_selector")
o.write(line + "\n")
print(line)
o.close
4. After you do this for both files, take the new ones files you made, put them where you found them in the mods folders, and then rename them to their original titles.
Expect placeholders (which I'm still working on), incorrectly assigned clothes (report those please) and disagreements about what constitutes "Soft", "Modest" and "Plus" (much refining of those to make more players happy).
My rework (as in rewriting asset selectors from the ground up) has chest coverage as criteria for the settings, and should be more consistent about it. On the other hand, it means it is currently filled with placeholders for stuff that doesn't exist at the moment.
Things like the shirtless clothes you mention but with shirts for those choosing the soft option, default in my version because I imagine not everyone enjoys surprise nipple when there are mistakes in setting up a playlist.
For those that do, that's what Plus is for, right?
I really appreciate you taking all this feedback! I love these mods, I feel like they have the best looking avatars that one can find. I just am not a big fan of the original author's vision. The current mods just feel like they were built for a "sexy" alien roleplay.
It's not fancy but it gets the job done without taking alot of time to edit code in the game which in my opinion is more time consuming unless you are already a mod author.
You can also do the same thing with body types. If you like bigger girls, you can find the body types with bigger girls and copy them over also.
While the mod looks OK and plays OK these portraits will not flinch on screen for happy 2, sad 1 and sad 2.
I'd also love to see more militant-combat wear
