Xen, going even deeper with that, the 1940, 1941, and 42 are all models of the 76! Most of the time when there's a set of digits after the tank name its stating what the gun size is like for instance the most common variants you are going to hear about are the T-34-85, T-34-57, and this one here, a T-34-76. There's also the STZ model which STZ is basically Extra armor, The reason only the 57 and the 76 got the STZ modification and the 85 didn't was because in late 1942 Germany upgunned from the Panzer III's 50mm gun to the Panzer IV's long 75mm. at this point any hope for shells bouncing off even extra armored tanks was lost, so by the time the 85 rolled around the T-34 was reaching its peak and engineers saw no reason to employ the extra armor because World War 2 was about mass production of products that were good enough!

there a many versions of the T-34 Tank guys (for example: T-34 (1940,1941,1942) etc...)

KBG KING SPY CRAB actually there is a specific type of a T-34 called a T-34-85. he could have meant that one.
