I'm trying to use TUP + this only without TROM changes. I guess this mod alone doesn't include weapons from TUP?

Hello,

You do not need this Wuxing mod anymore

Because the TROM+TUP mod already has most of the changes in this mod added to it.

So you only need the TROM+TUP 5 parts and you should have everything you need.

You can disable and unsub from this mod

I think I'm not the only one who wants to use this mod - because it's really awesome. I use all 5 parts of your mod (TROM + TUP) and a few recommended ones. Unfortunately, the wooxing mod does not work. I checked several times. Weapon damage does not change when activating/deactivating the wooxing mod. And the order of loading is not important - what is higher, what is lower - does not work.

Does this mod work with TUP aswell? Cause as far as i know there are bunch of new weapons aswell. The Modder of Havie's improved skill tree for MTU+TUP recommended your mod, but is it truly compatible?

your mod seems only effect original weapon's data? it would be better if this mod could effect all mod's weapon data.

But it could make wuxing become more useful so it's still worth to be used

I really liked the idea of this mod but not working for me at all!
Every duel i did with it, the outcome just pure luck.
At 1 time my level 10 vanguard with 100+ exp and inst lost to a level 1 vanguard with half of his stats and almost lost no healt!

I've made a compatibility patch for this to work with Radious, it also has some of my own tweaks to the game, namely some additions to a few buildings, but it's there mainly for compatibility between this and radious. It reduces Hero's HP and halves the weapon damages. When used with this mod, the overall killing power goes up too high. 25% weapon effectiveness and 1/2 damage bonus for Wuxing can make it roughly the same. I wish I could use these two mods together.

Also I can confirm this does not work with Radious properly, and if you're using Wu on top of Radious, any of the Wu uniques will be significantly weaker than other weapons. So a patch for that is definitely needed. I may or may not get around to doing it myself, but I'm not always able to make patches work as intended so you can say my modding skills are rusty and limited.

Yeah Strategists and Commanders suffer greatly from this rebalance. Commanders more so because they are actually able to duel and as such will lose a lot. That is until you take certain unique strategists like Zhou Yu into consideration. Since he's suppose to be decent in melee, in fact he's able to beat most generic commanders in melee. Also I don't know if it's because of a mod, but he can duel as well. I haven't really played vanilla since my first few campaigns so I just don't know for certain. So I'd say a small amount of damage from cunning and Authority would be in order. Then commanders and strategists aren't completely screwed, but are still weaker than the other 3 classes in melee.

How about giving 500 ap damage or flat damage at level 200 authority. Because of the nerf to weapons. Commanders(Cao cao, liu bei) feels very weak compared to other characters.

I definitely agreed that weapons were made to be too overwhelming in this game. It's a strange decision indeed considering the fact that the vast majority of these mythical weapons didn't even exist unlike most generals in the game with their actions and feats recorded by historical sources. This mod did it almost perfectly for me. Thank you.

The latest update nerfed the bonuses by both Wuxing and weapons by about ~15-20%, try to play with it and see if that's still the case

With the added bonuses from other generals, this mod has actually made the heroes stronger in almost all cases (not Xu Chu and a few others). I think you're going to need to look at either lowering some of those bonuses given, or lowering the damages being given to classes.

I appreciate the response! Would you consider adding those changes to the description for the other mod? It doesn't currently say the skill mod changes attack animations. I'm not trying to be rude, but I think people would like to see that. Thanks for your work on your Wu mods.

That mod has additional changes to the Wuxing to make heroes less OP even at 300 stats

The bonuses to melee defense, HP, and melee damage (%) from expertise, resolve and instinct respectively are nerfed in that mod. Your heroes need to get to around 260+ stats to get the same bonus as 200 stats in vanilla, and melee defense is capped at 60

Wuxing in that mod also give extra bonuses to only soldiers in that retinue (not the heroes themselves), so units are stronger

That mod also cranked up matched combat from heroes vs unit to like 80% and 100% when dismounted, so when dismounted, a hero is nerfed in their ability to kill units since they mostly only kill 1 unit model at a time. Sometimes, a kill animation can swipe off 5-8 soldiers but those are rare

All that combined make heroes in that mod a tide turner but not a one-man army (except for a few stand outs like Zhao Yun and Lu Bu). By late game, they are pretty OP but that's something I'm still trying to work around

How does this interact/balance with your Havie's Improved Skill Tree's mod for Wu? That mod changes the max stat to 300 and the new skills that boost stat on the left side seem like it could get pretty insane when combined with this mod.

I added supports for Wu Kingdaissance's new attributes but I guess if you don't use the mod, it'll crash. I just upload a new version with some "dummy-records" of those attributes and it seems to not crash anymore for me even when I turned off Wu, so give it a try again

It's a tough balancing act. I'll see what I can do. I'm still experimenting with the values for these things but from what I can tell, heroes are definitely stronger with this mod the lower the unit size goes. I'll probably see if I can reduce some of these bonuses across the board in the future.

hmm that's odd. Was playing with this mod yesterday and earlier today and the game loaded fine. It was working as intended in game. But i closed down the game and restarted it later on and now the game won't even run anymore. Like it's giving me the opening title screen when it starts but crashes right after. I had a few mods on too, but after trial and error i pinned it down to this mod.

Every other mod i had would work, game starts up fine, but when i started the game with this mod it would crash. I tested it by only activating this mod and the game crashed again.

So umm help? Please?

I play on Large unit size, would heroes be more powerful than Vanilla? Is there any chance you can maybe make a version that is balanced for Large unit sizes? I think it's probably the most common unit size and the one the game is balanced around so balancing the mod around Ultra\Extreme probably keeps a lot of ppl from using this.

If we were to take a lvl 10 general from vanilla, how would you compare it to a lvl 10 general with this mod ? Lets say two Lu bu with sky piercer, same build and items. Which version would be stronger ?

Yeah but now they're just like flat out worse then before. While the mod was intending to keep strong generals not be dependent on just their weapons to be strong. Damage wise anyway.

I just feel this is a bit beyond the mod's scope. Just my opinion though.
