yknow so far im not seeing a need for any kind of change. hes a transformation class basicaly. hes holding up fine so far, was worried by the comments here. havent done max level dungeons with him yet though

So, any updates on the planned reworking of the bluesman class? I enjoyed this class despite the numerous problems, but on a heavily modded save it is almost impossible to find a good party with him.

Really cool class, love his style and aesthetic (his walk animation especially!) One thing that I wish he had is a sound effect for I See Said. If I'm not mistaken, that ability is either silent or close to it, which is a shame because its a really thematically cool ability. I can imagine a demonic laugh or a whoosh of flame as the SFX for the ability,

Dear developer, the mod is crashing the game and the descriptions of the skills are appearing in the form of lines of programming code.

Really cool design, but I must say...over 800 hours of Darkest Dungeon and I have finally found my nemesis, the one and only class that I truly can't find a niche on, no matter how many modded trinkets that I tried on him.

Cool character, way too weak for me to find a use for in my team comps sadly.

Love the flavour and phenomenal in every aspect except he's horridly weak.

I am getting white boxes whenever he moves, maybe its that I have too many mods installed but all the other mods seem to work fine, it only happens so far when he moves, it does break the immersion quite a bit.

I'm having trouble finding the Sunward Isles trinket. Is it a bug? Is it just bad luck?

My Bluesman doesn't have sunglasses for some reason lol. It's fucking creepy.

Please help, after you launched the patch i reinstall the mod but i still got the white square on the hero when he moves. Really enjoy your work.

I like this class and was excited to see it, since I very much enjoyed the Mambo and Steel Driver kits. I am currently leveling one and while his damage is low he has some pretty neat abilities that I like. I see here in the notes that he uses The Performance Hall district, but I don't see a bonus for him in that district's description.

@RagingFlower: thank you for playing Bluesman and sending me this message! I am looking into lowering the stress he receives when he goes into Possessed Mode. Unfortunately my PC blew out on me and is currently in a repair shop. Because of the pandemic, my computer won’t be mailed back to until about 10 days, however please know that changes to how much stress he accumulates is in the works.

First off I'd like to say that the style of the class is top notch, but unfortunately I'm struggling with enjoying the actual gameplay. Some problems I have:

1. Damage is very low, in a game that actively punishes you for not quickly dealing with your enemies.

2. Going into devil mode to get his damage and accuracy to average levels (and I stress average) just destroys his stress. 10 a round to get bounty-hunter-with-no-marks damage just isn't a good trade off. Nearly every transformation ability across the main game and mods is less punishing.

3. Disappointed he doesn't actually have any stress healing for other party members in his kit

4. Overall, the class is too hard to pilot, in a game where you can press wicked slice on the highwayman and crit for 25. There's a lot of RNG and nastiness being thrown at you in this game, so struggling with your class' abilities is the last thing you want!

-His SFX should be fixed now, keep me updated in case you run into any faint sounds from here on out.

-I've also removed all the holdover files that were making his download too big & should also help with the white boxes issues during his animations.

-Yes, his base ACC is extremely low, he's blind! However, using the "I See Said..." ability will activate his Possessed Mode which allows him to become more accurate at the cost of more stress.

-The Bluesman is probably going to be my last hero mod (for a long while), my main focus now is Enemy/Quest mod called: The Carnivorous Carnival which is based on Vaudeville Travelling Circuses. Is there a reason the spawn rate is pretty high? I can't imagine someone wanting to make an army of bluesmen.

@Finarfin Spawn rate is pretty high. If you want to lower it go into:

steamapps/workshop/262060/(whatever the bluesman folder name is)/heroes and keep going til you find the info.darkest file

Go to the very bottom and change .number_of_cards_in_deck 2 → 6
also change .card_chance 90.0 →1
