This mod is great, it really gives you a good incentive to try to capture as much as possible rather than stopping after the first five. The extra intel you can get can be pretty useful too.

@jmck Does this happen often? If not, you may have just gotten unlucky. It's possible to fail the 20% roll 12 times in a row, just quite unlikely. If it does, do you have any mods? Also, if it does happen often, let me know if it's specifically when there's 12 captured.

I got it where for each of 12 captured enemies, it said I had a 20% chance to gain 20 intel. I gained 0 intel. 20 intel at 20% chance per enemy, same as n3v3r on Aug 25.

That does seem to be a mod conflict. More than likely one of your mods is overwriting one or two of UIMissionSummary, X2StrategyGameRuleset, or DioStrategyAI, most likely the last 2.

I did not change the default values, I only added them to the description of the mod.

Hey, so i've been getting a glitch where I'm only getting the default amount of Info, 20, and it visually is telling me I have a "100% chance to get 20 intel from each of the 12 captured enemies", any idea what's causing this glitch? Is there a Mod this conflicts with?

i thought u changed it to 10 intel at 63% chance per enemy?

I believe that is intended behavior. This mod makes it so that instead of rolling for an intel bonus once, it rolls per enemy.

at the end of the mission i get a message of there is a 20% chance to obtain 20 intel from each of the 15 enemies captured is this just a bug visually and its working as intended or is it messing up (i got 80 intel from it)

@Promethia Thanks. It's nice to have the option to tinker, since you did the hard work of making the mod in the first palce. Although I must admit what ended up as a simple "what if it was xxx..." grew into a crazy spreadsheet overloaded with formulas. I did not expect such a high chance (63%) to give those results.

Really like this mod, there are others that just add a set amount of intel per capture, which is fine, but the mystery/surprise/variety of this is nice. So you never know exactly what you are going to get.

I'd definitely recommend playing around with the default values. 20/20 can lead to not a great distribution (With 5 captures you have a 30% chance of getting no intel. 40% of getting 20 intel, and 20% of 60 intel.)

I like something closer to the base game (where 5 captures is a consistent 20 intel). If you use RewardChance=63 and IntelReward=10 , then you end up where at 5 captures you only end up with 0 intel (bad luck) 10% of the time, and 20 intel closer to half the time. And a little bit more and less a bit less than that. (5% chance of getting 40 intel).

That way you still get the surprise and fun of a lottery type experience, without it having issues of it often being feast or famine.

@Player According to the description of that mod, yes these would conflict, as they override the same files of X2StrategyGameRuleset and DioStrategyAI.

@Killing Me Softly actually that mod does exist, I almost made it myself but I saw the exact same thing get posted just before I finished.

@Harry_894 This mod shouldn't be causing crashing, the worst it could do is not do anything. It will conflict with any mod that also overrides any of those three scripts, but I can make a compatibility patch in some cases. Also, I'm using enemy counter capture, so I can confirm they do not conflict or cause crashing.

anyone using (enemy counter capture) ?? its the only other mod that deals with captured enemies other than this one ... so maybe thats the one conflicting ?

sorry if this is a basic question, but how do i know which mod conflicts with this one ? you mentioned that it "Overrides UIMissionSummary, X2StrategyGameRuleset, and DioStrategyAI." how do i find out if another mod overrides these ? by process of elimination this mod crashes my game which i think its because its conflicting with something .... or maybe because i added it mid campaign ?

Was looking for something like this, but without RNG, just straight +4/5 intel per captured enemy. But I guess I can configure it myself. Thanks.

Can specific enemies give more or less, or have different chances based on name? I was rather disappointed that capturing the big bosses did not give better intel than the random mooks
