Mod still works and is good... but I do wonder why Britanny wants Scottish and Irish provinces... maybe there is history of Brittany I don't know about haha.

the ruling structure reforms aren't visible and can't be selected. I was using a custom nation, but only this mod.

Update for Winds of Change 1.37 coming soon. There will be not much relevant changes and the mod should already work well under 1.37.

@Maxx Thanks for reporting the bug to me. I was able to reproduce it with 1.31.6 and found the reason for it in the forum. I am gonna try to fix it in the coming days, for the meantime you could roleback to 1.31.5 (which works).

Can't start the game with this mod on, it crashes after loading just before showing main menu. I've tried with and without the kingdom collection core. I'm using no other mods. I've also reinstalled the mod to see if it didn't update correctly. I have all DLC's enabled. Any ideas as to why it doesn't work? Thank you for making and updating this mod and I hope it'll work soon again!

Also, do you think if you ever add on more features to the mod, you could add Manx, Cumbric, and Pictish? Manx makes sense, as it was around during this time. However, for the other two, while I know they were dead languages, (Pictish disappearing centuries ago, Cumbric disappearing ~1250,) I know it's not really realistic to spawn in Cumbric/Pictish, but maybe given the fact that we can create/revive the Britons leaves hope for reviving the other two? If that was added to the mod, I wouldn't play with the Cultural Delights mod, because the only reason I'm using it is because I wanted Cumbric culture lol.

Oh thanks, sorry, I didn't realize it was the other mod changing Irish to Gaeilge.

Anyways, yeah I forgot that with just the Celtic Union mod enabled, Welsh and Cornish are still in the English culture group. Those missions spawning Cambrian, Brezhon, and Cornwielisc make a lot more sense now lmao. With the other mod, these cultures start off in the Celtic group, so there's really no need to convert any of them to the new cultures. So that makes sense now, although I still would've used the Celtic names, even if they sound more foreign. But that's just a preference. I understand why you did it though.

Greetings @Venboven, yes I do plan to update the mods for 1.31. Depending on PDX, I will be able to provide day one support and if I am not to busy around release time.

The names are chosen to differentiate them from the English culture group counterpart. Cornish and Welsh are already in the game. So their Celtic counterparts needed to be different, but still recognizable. So e.g. I choose Cornwielisc (Old English) over Kernowyon (Cornish) due to recognizability.

PS: Irish beeing renamed to Gaeilge, is not from the Celtic Union mod :)

Hey @Reloader, do you plan to update this mod when the Leviathan DLC comes out?

Also, can I suggest that Irish, Welsh, Cornish, and Breton just keep their normal names? I know it's cool to give them their old English names, but don't you think that's a little ironic considering we're creating the Celtic Union here and banishing the Anglos? Why should we call the Cornish "Cornwielisc" or the Welsh "Cambrian"? Shouldn't we use the Celtic names instead? just a thought.

It still works for me.

I highly recommend to anyone playing this mod to use it alongside another mod: "Cultural Delight" which adds in the feature of "cultural revival" where-in after being owned for several years, provinces in designated areas and for certain culture groups will convert (revert) to a new (old) culture in your culture group. Events will spawn of Celtic revivalists spreading newly recreated or invented Celtic languages such as Cumbric, Pictish, Austman, as well as several cultures in mainland Europe like Belgae. I have yet to discover more, but I think you can convert most of France to old Celtic as well. Probably Iberia as well, and parts of Germany.

The decision to convert to presbyterian has not showed up. I am currently celtic in faith but to continue the mission tree I need to convert. Reformed has spawned

Down the line you should add more Celtic cultures as you conquer more of the former Celtic lands in Europe, like Gallic, Belgae, Celtiberian, Noric (Switzerland-Austria). I think it'd make conquering the rest of Europe a lot more flavorful, especially when moving into Gaul if you added more events and such talking about the Germanic invasions or the Roman conquest etc. I love this mod so far and it's definitely nice to have a Celtic mod that actually is updated and is full of great content. Please keep up the good work guys!

Imo the 10 admin tech limit for forming celtic union is pretty pointless. You only need to fight the irish for 5 years and win one war against england to take the required provinces, the rest is just waiting.

Make an uncompressed save. Open it with any editor under ~/Documents/Paradox/EU4/save games. Search for "112 150 105" (the default country color for CU) and replace it with whatever color you like. For further help, feel free to join the discord :)
