Just finished my first ever playthrough of this game and decided to do it with this mod. I give you a standing ovation sir and or ma'am! I had an absolute blast with this mod and quite frankly the only thing its missing imo is voice lines. I really loved how you implemented the lore of the character into the playstyles. I ended up going with the pistol wielding ailment negating big boss. Anyway 9/10 mod, vent sneaking snake too good to see.

For anyone who wants to be able to equip impact frame with Big Boss, just open the XcomClassData.ini file and look for "+ExcludedEquipment=" without the quotes, there should be one with impact frame, and delete that line.

So I did the terrible idea of doing my first impossible challenge with mods and I grabbed snake as a starting agent, loved it.

His CQC abilities and the act of moving about beating people up and shooting them in the face makes for quite effective tactics.

Heck, the ability to KO a snake, then KO a muton and then shoot a berserker is one of the most Snake things I've done in my playthrough.

Makes me wish I knew how to make my own characters.

can you add voice for this one, i mean in mgs psx and ps2 boss can speak

Is there a voicepack for Solid Snake Chimera Squad?

This is perfect.....But One question：why Snake is naked？

Me: Mom can we have Snake in Chimera Squad?
Mom: We already have Snake in Chimera Squad.
Snake in Chimera Squad: *hissssss*

I wonder if there is a mod that allows us to dismiss characters so Big Boss can have his locker.

@DOS32 after recruiting him his aiming has been very accurate when i play him on missions 98%,100%,70% he still hits his targets with precise aiming before i upgraded his weapons later on.

I finally recruited him but he barely says anything not even the iconic "Kept you waiting huh".
Yeah he surely kept me waiting for a long time before i recruited after going through so many missions. It was worth the wait.

What were the hurdles you mentioned? Why was adding a new agent so much more difficult than you anticipated? Aren't Xcom games built from the ground up to be modded?

I can unsub and resub, then try it I guess.

Well I was able to play the starting mission without any issues with Big Boss in the APC two times.

I just subbed the mod last night.

Was this before or after the update? I'm running him right now in the latest version and it hasn't crashed yet.

Finally decided to try out this mod and started a whole new campaign. Deleted the configs and restarted, selected Big Boss from the start, started the first mission and the game froze. The debug screen is showing:

The package is cooked so that the game recognizes it, but strips out any editor related information. So if you try to open it in the editor, the editor won't recognize it.

I'm looking to try and develop some character mods of my own, and was looking at yours to base things off of and lay some groundwork.
Though I don't think you'd know anything about the issue, I feel I might as well ask.
Currently I'm trying to figure out what pieces are needed in terms of external assets for models, and was trying to import your upk file, specifically the ZZZ_DIO_MGSV_CHAR_BIGBOSS_DATA_SF pack into the Chimera Squad SDK editor. However doing so doesn't appear to do anything and the package doesn't appear on the list of packages. I'm wondering if you have any insight on this issue.

Would be cool if it was accurate to what's said (still cool just to have Snake in the game at all), though that's definetly not Grounds Zero Snake. And awkward to have him going in shirtless.

You’re thinking if making a character, eh? His ricochet will hopefully be his signature ability.
Dunno what it should be. Maybe a ricochet shot bounces to all enemies within an area (same size as crowd control) for a guaranteed hit. Long cool down.
Well, that’s just an idea.

Sorry but Blueblood now owns the locker that Big Boss is using. No known fix for now aside from removing Blueblood
