Needs auto option.

I don't know why other people are having problems, but it works great for me, and I use it a lot. It makes me happy that I can basically write my character's story as I go along and write down notes for later use. It works really well and helps me to feel more immersed in the game.

Would it be possible to get the new version of Take Notes on here? I love this mod thus far, it really adds to the immersion for me. I roleplay different character types whenever I play, and I like making a backstory for them and recording their adventures.

However, I would also really like to be able to take advantage of the different tabs and chapters available on the new version. I know that it is available on Nexus, but honestly, I don't know a ton about mods and the Steam workshop pretty much makes it so I don't have to worry about load order or anything. I have messed up my games before trying to do it myself, even with LOOT. XD

Anyway, thank you for creating such a fun, immersive mod!

I can't type in book mode, only in dark but is there anyway I could make it work in book mode? I'm doing a rp playthrough and this mod wouldn't really work if it was in dark mode...

SkyUI doesn't work for me. Is there any way I can get a version of this mod that works without it?

Um.. looks like a GREAT mod.. but.... when I press "X" It doesnt open. Do I have to press ctrl x or Fn x or something? Would really like to use thos mod and hope it isnt glitched.....

Guys. Get this from Nexus. The workshop version is very out of date. The new one features chapters, seperate tabs, logos and other stuff. Trust me.

This makes roleplaying in Skyrim so much easier and more fun, when you get to write down your character's thoughts on what's happening.

@Alekhine Just hit the Insert button. It's your computer, not the mod.

So far I've had 3 problems:
1.) The Nexus version of this mod is better supported, with categories for notes. Could you please upload your new version to the Workshop as well?

2.) When I am editing an entry, my edits overwrite what I have previously written. To give an example, If I were to write "I walked in.", but then decided to edit it by placing 'then' between 'I' and "walked", it would look like this: "I thened in." This is a serious flaw. It means we have to rewrite an entire entry when we make a mistake.

3.) When I export my journal to FISS, I don't see it. Pls Halp!

@sskop7 SkyUI is an user interface mod, the mod will not work without it, but i highly recommend using it, it creates very clean menus.

I dont know what the fuck SKYUI is and I dont really want it, will this mod completely not work whatsoever without it, or would it just limit the features?

This is great, now I don't gotta search my homes for a particular item, instead I can just write where I put it here.

I can't seem to write anything in it. Everything else works, but all it shows is the F1 help menu. I've tried the debug option of filling the journal with entries, but it still shows nothing. What can I do?

Could you possibly add a third theme that has cover with a hand written font, no drop shadow and no logo? It would make it more immersive. ANd could you add an option to disable the dates at the top so we can write in our own (like previous journal entries that were written before the in game start date). This is for the book theme btw

So... I installed it on Steam, uninstalled it because it didn't show up, then reinstalled it, still didn't show up, Then I tried Nexus, still didn't show up, updated SKSE and SkyUI and made sure it was the most recent versions, reinstalled it again... Yeah, it's still not there, not in my inventory, not in my powers, not in my MCM menue. Do I need to pick up the book somewhere? Is it not a physical book? Is it supposed to be in my powers somewhere? I'm so confused :T

i was experimenting with the basic needs mod on a brand new game and thought wouldnt it be cool to keep a diary like other characters apparently do? and here i am! thanks for making this. going to download now, i wonder if there is a site where people upload and share their journal entires? or even just a forum? that would be fun.

@MrAwesome54 Dude, I'm just happy to be able to scratch down my hidden loot locations, to-do lists, or clues to complicated quests.

Sweet! Just imagine 400 years into Skyrims future a bunch of Nords (or Altmer, depending on what those Dominioners pull out of their sleeves) finding it and making some huge expedition for the dragonborns lost journal entries or something.

I can't find my exported journal anywhere, it's not in the location given in the description here. I'm using NMM, and couldn't find it in those folders either.

I really fucking dont know why.. BUT THIS MOD MADE MY GAME SO FUN

please do one without skse,it doesent have to b as gud,but pls make,and if u cant make even a rlly basic one without skse then pls forgive my terrible knowledge of modding XD
