@Fluffy: I've seen issues with Steam's downloader/updater. Like I recently subscribed to a mod I'd never subscribed to before and got an old version of it without a 1.6 directory in it, despite it having been updated to 1.6 several versions ago. Got fixed by running a "verify all files" sweep on RimWorld, but I hope Valve gets it together on this soon.

For the record, I have no intentions of picking back up all my mods. I may update a few I think deserve some extra love, and that I can do in an evening or two without too much effort. Depending on the circumstances, that may mean updating my own version of it, or if there is a new maintainer that is actively doing updates, I may contribute updates to the new version.

TLDR;
if you're a player, don't get your hopes up for me to come back to modding 'full time'.
if you've been maintaining, continuing, updating or improving one of my mods, please keep doing so! I really appreciate the love and care you've shown, and will do what I can to work with you and not undermine your efforts.

@Everyone; re: mod showing up as not compatible; has anyone else noticed that? It's showing up as fine on my end, but it's possible I made a mistake when dusting of and resurrecting my release scripts. It's also possible this is a Steam problem (it does have a history of not updating mods correctly sometimes), a manual unsubsibscribe-resubscribe may help. IIRC RimSort and maybe some mods also have a button to automate this process and force an update/integrity check for mods.

@ArmoredStone: Yup, still around and mostly (on average) doing well, just live moving on. I'm also happy to see many of my mods have been picked up by others, and in quite a few cases been substantially improved in the process. That was always one of my reasons for picking permissive licenses, good to see it working out!

@YinYang; Given the available evidence, I'd say a bit of scepticism was a good starting point. I can't fault you for that!

Mod Replacement mod told me to replace Command Pallette Continued with Command Pallette, and I was like, huh? that mod is dead that's why I needed the Continued one. More fool I for being so untrusting.

I got the urge to do a bit of modding, so updated this to 1.6.

Also fixed some outstanding issues:
- (tweak) palette now closes after making a selection (with a mod option to go back to the old behaviour)
- (tweak) search now prioritises matches whose label starts with the query (new), then matches whole label contains the query, then any match in the description.
- (bugfix) if you set a keyboard keybind to open the palette, that keybind isn't pre-entered into the search field anymore
- (bugfix) stuff selection dropdown now correctly opens for small palette UI scales

I'm sorry Ukraine is going through this but the Jabroni leaders of Ukraine are not blameless in the slightest. and its their actions over the last few years that lead to their people becoming caught in the crossfires, A countries leaders cannot expect another countries leader to ignore transgressions and not retaliate. Not to mention the racism and mass amount of hate crimes those in Ukraine committed on people of color, jews and transplant Russians trying to live peacefully in Ukraine. And remember while the citizens of Ukraine fight and dye in this war their leader and his woman and the elites are all in the US often getting shopping money and buying million dollar jewelry pieces then asking the citizens of the US to give them more money for their poor victimized country. I can confirm this mod works for 1.5 as-is (at least it runs and I haven't run into any bugs yet).

Is there a way to ensure the command palette retains the command history through sessions? Currently when you need to fill it up with a history again every time you reload. This would be a very helpful QoL change, but I imagine it might not be simple.

Rimthreaded has been proven to not actually improve TPS or FPS; in fact it does the opposite.

This is SO important as I cannot see anything without it anymore. too many things in each tab block the screen. Thank you so much for this mod! Is there one for pawn abilities like from Rimworld of magic clogging the screen the same way as the building tab? Maybe shrikning the icons by 90%... This is by far Best UI mod I have ever seen!

I'm running about 550+ mods and with ui scale all the way down some sections of the build menu still go off screen I'm hoping this mod will fix that but my question is can I search by mod name or broad terms (i.e a primitive bed from early times by searching "bed" or "early times")

Hello Fluffy, would it possible to select extend mouse buttons (mouse4, mouse5, ... these are side and additional buttons) to open the command palette, please ? So far the shortcut widget only catchs LMB, MMB, RMB and keys.

@Trizian: You're halfway there, but you're making the assumption that once it's published to steam, steam will make sure it gets distributed to everyone else properly.

Sadly, that's not true. As a content distribution network for mods, steam is kind of terrible. It's unreliable, forces updates on all subscribers, but sometimes randomly delays or skips updates for individuals. It also does not allow multiple versions or branches and has a terrible bug tracking system.

It's still the best option, simply because the audience is huge, and for most people, most of the time, it simply works.

@Fluffy I figured it out, but couldn't edit the post. I subscribed but it didn't work. When I went to Github and downloaded, it worked fine. It also showed as working with 1.3 which the subscribed version did not.

I'm not an expert by any means, but my uninformed deduction is that somehow the correct version didn't get posted to Steam properly.

@Trizian: Nope, it should work straight out of the box. Mind sharing a player-log?

Does this require use before functioning right? I'm trying to figure out if it's conflicting with a mod, needs a fresh start, or if I just need to build with it for awhile. Seems to work but no icons are showing up, just a text search bar that takes text but doesn't bring anything up.
