I have to ask why?

The shotgun has disadvantages to balance it - less range and less ammo.

Shotgun users (while admittedly usually having perks to help balance this) have to risk themselves to get good shots off.

All you've done is make the AR the superior weapon in the game. Range, pierce, ammo.

SMG needs some kind of buff; AR armor piercing makes SMG irrelevant, and it's passive ability I've never seen gone off once. Perhaps it should give bonus move instead, like in LWs and X2.

I suppose so. Though I do feel that there should be a crit bonus added to shotguns if it's main focus shift is suppose to be on getting flank crits compared to brute force offense. Currently, vanilla doesn't give base crit to shotguns at all, where in X2, shotguns and snipers had 10 base crit.

It would help alleviate the pierce reduction on the shotgun, but it would not render this mod irrelevant, as you have to sacrifice a utility slot for it, where as the assault rifle leaves room for other ammunition types.

Once you get AP rounds, the -1 Pierce for the shotgun is irrelevant.

Hm, I really like this rebalance, but how those changes can be given not only Chimera squad weapons, but in addition epic weapons?

Good. I like this. Helps make the guns more distinct. To further push this, is it possible to let SMGs shoot twice if you don't move first? Also, any idea where you find accessories like tracer/tranq/clip items? I found grenades, but I can't find stat based equipment.

These are solid changes. Godmother's triple shot autohit shotgun ability is just bonkers and this reins it in at least a little bit and gives the AR guys a reason to exist. Thumbs up :thumbs:

Interesting... This is almost exactly how I mod my XCOM 2. I give rifles, machine guns, and snipers a bonus to armour penetration, whereas shotguns get reduced armour penetration. It is more realistic this way, as shotguns (at least those loaded with common buckshot shells) do tend to have less penetration than most rifles, even most pistols, however, I would recommend giving the shotgun a critical damage bonus to make up for the penetration loss. It would encourage the player to use the shotgun as a specialised flanking weapon, as flanking gives a critical chance bonus. This is how I personally mod the shotguns in XCOM 2.

@Lex There is an equally nice mod that allows you to swap the Shotgun/SMG/AR loadouts for all of the Agents. This mod makes that one even more useful.

Some of the "classes" for chimera Squad have abilities that only effect mechanics from this game like breaching.

So while there are some abilities I can see being "easily" ported to Xcom 2, some would be non-existent.

You know what else I'm looking forward to? Xcom 2 mods. It's reasonable to think that given they're on the same engine, people will be looking to make some of the features in this game... Backwards compatible, if that makes sense?

I bet someone could make an actual Cherub/Warden class by porting over the animations, icons, textures and so on.

(The blank ability slots could just be filled with already existing ones.)

Hm... this made Axiom even less usefull and Verge a must have in the team as the weapons are fixed per character. Not sure I like that. Will have to test this a bit more.

Yes, I am just installing the game, (Yay, I can finally have mods cuz I played XCOM 1 / Enemy unknown and Xcom 2 on PS4 without the ability of mods, so now I can play XCOM Chimera squad with mods c;)

The autosaves are such a pain. It seems like it saves at a different rate than XCOM/XCOM2, because I loaded what I thought was my last turn start, and it was the enemy turn.

I am not sure is this a good suggestion for your next mod or not.

I feel like a "Toggle Auto-Save" mod should be made, don't want my drive to explode with the thousand of save files after each encounter.
