For those still struggling with "the ball beneath the map": you need to start the map 'as heatseeker'. For example: If you would start a Dropshot-based custom map, and don't put the game mode on Dropshot, you will get a normal ball that does not charge or destroy the floor. In the same way, you will have to load the map 'as heatseeker'. This might not work through the default in-game 'workshop' folder. You CAN however do this via bakkesmod, plugin 'Workshop map loader', en then host multiplayer.

Just confirmed, i had the same issue. When I loaded it 'as heatseeker', the ball was there :) good luck

...but there are a few bugs. The ball changes color near the goal -> correct. But the imideatly changes back and turns right into the goal. A bit annoying to continously correct the goals (we didn't count the ones that bugged).

Also it sometimes bounces weirdly off the middle wall and stays the color it was; goes over the wall. This could actually be made so that it's always the case because othewise the ball got stuck for quite a long time between the goal and the wall, never going into the goal but always over or on the side.

Im hosting the map through bakkes mod but yet 2 balls spawn?

if you play by yourself just in the workshop section the ball is always under it in both heatseeker maps

Leth, can you please take this map and make a new one where the wall covers the other goal? I really want to play Heatseeker by myself and just practice defending where the ball just bounces off the other wall and back to me

Mentioned below, you cannot play this like regular workshop maps. You must get something like rocketplugin and host a match for the ball to work.

Got same problem with the ball in the workshops. But then tried out the bakkesmod plugin an hosted a match then it worked. :-)
