I noticed that grain is only mentioned once in goods_wagon_ga.mdl, while the other items are mentioned twice. Adding GRAIN again in the top section seems to fix the bug.

So I tried some stuff (without other mods loaded) and it seems to happen only with grain: If it loads only grain it uses only one compartment per wagon. If there is more stuff, one compartment is filled with grain and the other one with other stuff. All other cargo I tried fills up both compartments regardless if it is the only type or not.

I just realized that this occurs on a line with only one type of cargo at a time (grain on way, food the other). So I will also try how it works with multiple cargo types at the same time.

I have cargo trams with compartments that work fine.
I also have the Ok wagon. I will try that one later.
I have many other mods installed, none that do anything with cargo though. But I'll also try without the other mods later.

I cannot find what the issue is, in my tests wagons are holding cargo in both compartments. Do you have other vehicles or wagons with compartments?

I have the same issue as xiii-Dex. I only noticed it now, so it probably wasn't always like this.
