Hi noumenalism, in the faction files there are arrays for heads. They work the same as the weapon arrays. you just get your character mod head names put them there and set the probability like this: ["customhead1","customhead2"], 1

sorry, I deleted your post by accident.
In your case the predefined weapon arrays will be using CUP weapons, so you'll have specify classnames if you prefer using RHS or others.
There is a typo in the example below, it should be like this:
_WeapTeamLeader =[["weaponclassA", "weaponclassB"], 1, ["weaponclassC"], 2 ];

MIL_M4A1 is an array of weapon classes that includes M4's from vanilla (which is the SPAR) CUP, RHS and VTN mod, depending on which mod you are using. If you want to use custom assets lets say for the team leader you can do it like this:

_WeapTeamLeader =["weaponclassA", "weaponclassB"], 1, ["weaponclassC"], 2 ];

But the whole point of the mod is that you don't need to use classnames if you use the most common weapons from any of the most common weapon mods because you can use the already existing weapon arrays. So if you want team leaders to be using mostly ak74's and some akm's you can just use:

_WeapTeamLeader = ["MIL_AK74", 5, "MIL_AKM",1, "MIL_M4A1", 0];

@b3lx, Thank you, I would also like to change the weapons for the factions with weapons from other mods. Do I need to place their classnames or leave it as like "MIL_M4A1"

@Razorteam321 it's explained on the description but I'll try again: open the mod folder, there's a folder called faction files examples. copy one of the files to your mission folder. change the file name to faction1.sqf. adjust the values in the file, (there are instructions inside). place a faction selection module. write the name of you faction (can be whatever you call it, in this case is: faction1) in one of the fields (any side you want). if you mess up with the faction file in your mission folder (missing commas or whatever) just correct it, no big deal. Change the probability values for loadout randomization in the faction file until you reach the intended result

Unfortunately I will not be able to make changes in the next weeks. Please read the instructions, it should be fairly easy to set up new factions, and if you are interested in some particular armed outfit then probably you already have a better knowledge of their equipment than myself. Try it out, and if you stumble on any difficult feel free to ask here or in the bohemia forum

@jcgau7227 The whole point is for users to adapt or create faction files as they wish. However you'll find that the Malhama faction SPEC units now will have sound suppressors. Sound suppressors and laser pointers are only available for SPEC units and according to a probability defined in the faction file in the variable "_SndSupP ". I changed that value in Malhama to 1 and made sure it works. I only tested with VTN, so please check it to see if it works for you

setting up custom factions: 1) copy one of the example faction files from the "faction files examples" folder at the mod's root folder and paste it on your mission folder. 2) rename the file 3) change the values inside the file (should be self explanatory) 4) put the name of your faction that you have used to name the copied file in one of the side fields in the settings module. 5) Now all MILITIA units from that side will take the settings you have defined in the faction file.

There was a screw up with vanilla mode, it's working now.

@El Dêrsimî - drop a "militia settings" module and write the name of the faction on the side you want. then just put down groups of that side and they will assume the faction you picked. Check the last picture to see what I mean. You can use any of faction names mentioned in the description

Attention people: spawn modules are available in the latest update! Check them out: you can overcome the lack of vehicles by putting down which ones you want for each faction inside the area of a read module (they can be customized and even have objects attached). Units and turrets will occupy most CUP ME and RSO buildings, you can customize how many units, how many buildings and a ton of other options (VBIED's included). No more careless patrols around buildings: you will be shot at!

@b3k, This is how things work around here:
If you do things that are against the rules, you get notified about it and if you decline to correct the wrongdoing then (you fill in the dots)

So your insisting to KEEP the TSK as a militia in your mod but refuse to put the USA in it as militia also.
THIS action makes you OBVIOUSLY in violation of the rules and i advise everyone who reads this to file a complaint to steam as i will be doing also....

I'm putting together a module set for this mod to ease up faction selection AND to spawn crewed vehicles as well as units and static weapons in proper places in buildings (done most of CUP ME buildings and most of the working RSO buildings so far). Super easy way of quickly populating areas.
