@Sparrow It was a standard zombie. It was just a standard zombie model with nothing suggesting it being a poison zombie. There are only standard zombies in Half-Life Alyx, and variants are only when it comes to headcrabs.

there was a poison zombie in the room the poison headcrabs first appeared in, it had a flashlight you took i think and it was dead and hung on the ceiling

@rubenspedro891 They aren't in the game, nor are they even a little implemented. The only thing there is are poison and fast headcrabs, and while fast headcrab was cut, it at least existed unlike their already zombified counterparts.

And also will they be able to retain unique abilities like for example the HEV rebel has shielding, would they be able to retain that?

Yeah I also am curious as to how that will work, will the GLA zombie features like the torn up stomach/chest, claw hands, and mangled head+headcrab be like combined with the model of whatever got infected, and will there be a chance for the infected to retain some of their intelligence and use guns and stuff like the Zombine Gunner? And will there be patches to allow the custom zombies in mods like Black Mesa Xenians to be used if Black Mesa humans are infected and such?

there's an issue with the armoured headcrabs damage system, literally nothing else will kill it except for being shot in the heart. melee, vortigaunt attacks, explosion, even point hurt entities don't hurt it

Yes, that's what I meant, like Black Mesa SNPC has separate zombie SNPCs, without headcrabs. I think it would be cool)

It seems that since the last BIG update, the standard headcrabs lost their ability to latch on players... I noticed this while messing around with NPC battles.
Does anyone have the same problem?

i do have an actual bug this time, sometimes armoured zombie bloaters aren't killed by their bloaters when they'res shot, and headcrab revivers go invisible when an electric zombie dies and there's a zombie corpse with an open chest cavity around

The only issue I have with this mod is that the headcrab reviver zombie cannot die, otherwise very good mod.

turns out i had an older version of your mod in my addons folder so i deleted it, everything is back to normal

@Nova Everything works fine on my end, even on 32 bit. Must be your installation.

@TheCreature That's how barnacles work in the game (unless they updated it, idk). But alright, I think I will buff them to pull up the players as well. Anyways the tongue moves for me so it must be on your end as well. Thanks for informing me of the unused zombie bug though

oh yeah, and the unused zombie death anim entity doesn't despawn when the ragdoll spawns, it just stays stationary in the last frame of the death animation

the barnacle doesn't pull players up, only npcs, it just freezes you and does like 5 damage and then lets you go
the barnacle tongue doesn't work, too, when an npc gets pulled up, the tongue doesn't move.

there's still some issues, zombies don't use their attacking animations and don't use the right spawn icon, electric zombie blobs sometimes disappear, and bloater zombies are broken

can you add the Reviver ball thing that they spawn when they die? this would remove the ERROR sign when they die.

the headcrab latching is broken. everytime a HL:A headcrab latches onto my chest and i kill it, it is still there even though i see the headcrab ragdoll and even if i respawn, it is still there. can you fix this please?

Do you know when will you fix the problem that the fast headcrabs just walks instead of running and when the headcrabs are charging attack they attacks exactly to the way where you are.

Should I implement something like this in the addon? The Zombine Gunner feels pretty weak right now imo and I am eventually going to use it as a base for the Grunt and Ordinal. It may not be accurate to its H:LA counterpart but at least it is stronger for NPC battles.
