@skregerson
Tree replacer isn't working for me either on these roads, so it's probably a mod.
@Lil Peener, assets do not generally cause crashes. The most likely cause is that you are running out of RAM. Please make sure you are using the Loading Screen Mod (specifically, this version ), as that will greatly reduce the amount of RAM used by these roads. The mod will also give you an idea if RAM is the issue.
Otherwise, a mod may not be correctly handling one of the roads. If that is the case, the output_log file should help you identify it. If you need any help deciphering the log, there are many kind soulds on the Steam Community discussions who I am sure will be more than happy to help.
I really don't want to test each road on-by-one so is there a way to know what offending roads I should avoid?
We really need some vanilla-style roads with fully rendered tunnels on the workshop.
Another feature request, could you re-design the icons in the menu, so that they can be more noticeable to choose rather than the built-in roads. I am using UK roads project, which has a good example of the icons which largely ease my selection how many lands, one way or two ways, parking or not, bike land etc.
At following road i figured out blue holes at the node depending how far you zoom out:
