I wasn't able to reproduce an error on 6.0 release, but for safety I have removed the pre-5.0 legacy support (matching aladinaleks' changes).

Can confirm that the 6.0 Beta 5 update broke this mod somehow.

Turning it off and restarting the game with my current save works fine though, so for others just disable it and wait for an update for the mod.

6.0 Beta 5 broke this mod I think. Got a black box around cockpit in a saved game and new playthrough. Box went away after disabling the mod.

1.5 is up, hopefully fixing the issues. I am thinking the new dlc (and maybe some other mods) adds material library xml nodes and changed their order (since x4 sorts extension nodes before base game nodes), so I made this mod's xpaths more adaptive. Let me know if it helps or not.

Amazing, thanks very much. Got it to work, It was my fault. I created a mod a while back changing the speed of the paranid engines so my ship would be ultra fast, for some reason that mod was causing every ships windows to be extremely foggy, more so than what it looks like without this mod.
As soon as i disabled that mod the glass is crystal clear.

I am sorry it isn't working for some, but I am not seeing issues in my game. Eg. my Nemesis Vanguard appears to have clean windows. If you unsubscribe, delete the related folder under X4/extensions, and resubscribe, does the problem persist?

In the patch notes of 5.0 it was stated that they made the Argon windows less dirty.
Maybe that change messed up the functionality of this mod.

I could have sworn that prior to the 5.0 update / Expansion all my glass was pristine, your mod was working wonderfully. Now it's a mixed bag. Frustratingly the few I spend the most time in have horribly scuffed cockpit glass that makes playing a real pain. Falx, Kuraokami in particular. I'll never understand why Egosoft does this. Spacefaring species that can't keep a damn window clean. Is it possible we'll see an update? Or could someone point me to a resource that would tell me how to do this myself? I just don't know what/where the textures are for the dirt.

Becouse it dont work for me. I have tested it and after all my glas are dirty. So its the complete different way as it should. Testet with Ship "Kukri"

The second photo just looks like different dirt/reflections.

I don't hate it, but it makes the glass feel flat while the original feels curved like in the outside perspectives. Its still good tho, almost looks like you actually whipped it clean in person with the new pattern of dirt
