Anyone else noticing that novakids always have grey hair instead of their proper hair color? I have quite a few hair-related mods so I'm not sure what's causing it. It's not too big of a deal if I can't fix it though. I'll just say that on this planet all novakids wear wigs XD.

Author of the original mod here, attaching a glow to a Pawn is a very bad idea performance wise, since then every time a novakid moves the map's light data has to be updated and the light source moved, which really hogs the game if there are multiple glowing people on screen, so that's why i didnt originally implement it and probably why mlie doesnt either

You can add a glowing effect to novakids. While playing Starbound as a Novakid, I noticed a glow emanating from him.

it's a bit unfortunate that novakid only seems to be raiders. Could it be because of this line?

"FactionDef novakidtown must have at least one pawnGroupMaker with kindDef 'Peaceful', or 'permanentEnemy', 'isPlayer' or 'hidden' should be set to true. Otherwise no guests from this faction will arrive. This is a misconfiguration in Novakid Race (Continued)."

Not a big issue, but i figured i would mention it in case anyone else has this issue too.

@PotatoBasket , Vanilla Expanded Accessories' Explosive Belt combined with Locust Armor and Dual Wield Plasma Blades is your friend, they jump in, slice, dice, die, explode, in true novakid fashion

Im getting this mod for the sole reason of me having it for both cortex command and rimworld

@warlord gandi: if you follow their lore you'd know they are highly destructive and rejoice in playful annihilation; quite frankly they should be wielding a greater diversity of doomsday equipment and have about 50% chance of blowing themselves up instead.

for some reason anytime the game has a raid involving these guys their equipment is ridiculous like triple rocket launcher while everyone else has pistols while im still in the first year of my colony.

@Farm_Ecology Not sure what the issue could be other than a conflicting mod or wrong mod-order.

All my Novakids just have normal human textures, anyone getting this?

regarding the Prep carefully comment, when i made this i had no clue what i was doing, so mlie, if you'd like to look into improving it so it works, the alien races discord has a detailed walkthrough to creating a race mod, which i somehow ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up following in the past, in that discord people will be able to tell you about PC compatability :)

No way! I play Starbound, so when i saw this I was like "Sick! Gotta try this out!"

There does not seem to be a guide of getting compatibility with prepare carefully, just use character editor for now because it does essentially the same thing and works with most races

@Mlie No, I do not, I don't know how to even mod Rimworld, but I'm sure that there's a guide somewhere that someone made

Much as I like the Novakid, and this reupload allowing me to finally have Novakid in Rimworld, I wanna ask if there will ever be an update or patch that allows this mod to work with Prepare Carefully, cause that'd be really awesome to have

Almost everyone in the comment section forgot that he fixed the mod, he is not the creator of this and will most likely not add all the Starbound races.

I can't edit or don't know how, but I meant to say that Novakid is my favorite vanilla race for Starbound! Loved em since they were announced haha
