Nope, any explosive weapon cannot be used for hunting. If i knew why i'd tell you, but the game just does that

I was going to object to that kind of nonsense but then I remembered I have a Dragon mod installed and thought better of it lol

About the mechanics, weapon weight is separate from damage and weapon cooldown, so if a modder wanted to, they an have a really light weapon with massive cooldown, or vice-versa

Huh, interesting. So, if I understand Rimworld mechanics right, increasing weight would make the attack speed even slower? It's already slow enough that the attack opening is a significant combat risk, anything that makes it slower would make it unviable imo lol, not that this pack is properly balanced nor is that the point but I do think it a visually cool melee weapon but the Chaos Blade currently acts more like a really, really big warhammer (hitting with the sharp end that is lol)

So I've been farming up a really good chaos blade and holy hell now that I've used it does it wreck face, but I'm curious, how mechanically does it work that it has such an absurdly long cooldown? Like 4-5 seconds? And that's even on my most bionically enhanced pawn? Like? It's a double sword, right? Those things aren't *that* slow

My game had a gun overdose due to a series of these mods and other weapon chaos, it refused to even launch XD

@Itzal oh i wasnt even hoping youd do anything like that. i was thinking maybe deleting some xml lines. i dont even know what xml is i just know it exists and the individual who made the windows mod described a way to make their windows buildable out of stone stuff by adding some lines. alright thanks though!

@Joko Each pack has it's own individual weapons, but the main pack is required for most of them due to crafting recipes.

@UltraDelux Sadly I wouldn't know where to begin to add that in, best thing to do is used devmode and destroy the gun when it spawns.

@Itzal oh boy holy cow rock and roll. im all about this stuff. i guess i ought to ask in the bonus guns comment section but i wont... is there a way to stop the crazy triangle rifle from ever showing up? you know the one i mean? if there is and its convenient for you id love to know. its literally the only thing keeping me from these sweet sweet video game weapons youve made. i know thats silly but dont judge me too harshly. ok this comment is getting long.

@UltraDelux Bonus guns is required because some of the recipes require guns from the bonus pack. As for having all of the guns from project itzal, there's the ones you listed, plus the charge pack.

im with this guy (cant find the arrow that points down). variety is the spice of life. now this seems like a silly question... but this doesnt really require the bonus gun pack does it? the crazy triangle polygon rifle is too extra. also to have all your guns youd need the main, bonus, too many, and community packs right? thats all of them?

In any case, I can probably just tell you the idea here, but I was thinking of a sort of slight upgrade to the flintlock design you have: an Afghan Jezail - which is essentially an ornate percussion cap rifle with a big bore and a really really long barrel. The upside is it has crazy accuracy and range but is also fairly slow to reload due to the barrel length - kinda appropriate for the Victorian equivalent of a heavy sniper rifle. Signature features are the long, typically ornamented barrel, and the curved, almost crescent-shaped butt-stock. In terms of performance, it's probably far more accurate and long-ranged than the historically later needle gun (and with a bigger bore that causes a lot of damage for a black-powder weapon), but suffers from slower rate of fire. Aim-time would actually be pretty good as the heavier barrel translated to better absorbing of the recoil.
