how about the idea of reducing their attributes? like by some %. or a morale penalty for the armies they lead? I think this can be a solution .
but I wonder if the ai even notices the difference ? someone who does modding must answer.

These 2 mods should prevent Lady Generals from being deployed (except assignments) by anyone too. I don't know if they're compatible with this mod. But it can serve as an alternative. (Read descriptions cause the top one will conflict with mods that alter the startpos). Good work to the modders bringing history to more grounded reality in line with how it was historically and in the novel, ignore the crazy inclusion crowd. Play the game the way you want.

All the people mad at this mod made me add it to my load order. As someone who is getting into studying major chinese history it is a little off to see so many women in a chinese war game. Especially a chinese war game.

Why are their so many female generals anyways. I feel it should just be the Unique female generals and thats it just for fan service. Only because its completely historically inaccurate, not that their are other glaring inaccuracies but this is a massive one. Won't install this though because it does'nt actually matter and this will probably remove unqiue's

The 'no woman' sentence was clearly exaggerated, of course women fought. No body in his right mind would seriously believe women never fought, so why don't you chill.

The number of female commanders in the game has been exaggerated by the game developers so I thought I might as well put that exaggerated sentence here too, that's all.

why else are there weapons like the glaive for instance called a "womans" weapon? these were weapons women trained in primarily over men to defend their homes in times of war its literally astonishing you have no concept of history and yet u make such a claim as but get real no woman has ever led an army during this period when there are thousands of famous women who have and thousands of famous women who didnt even lead but just fought in battle going above and beyond their male counter parts in many cases

as for the amount of women on the field of battle there were thousands because towns werent really evacuated and when they were it was the elderly and children that evacuated the women usually stayed and fought as part of the militia the numbers of men to women in the military werent actually calculated in that period only rough estimates if that and considering there are more women of chinese nationality than men even back then where it was a 4:1 ratios the 4 being women and the 1 being men countless women fought and died along side of men and tbh its annoying when a man sits there sand says something like but get real no woman has ever led an army during this period or claim no woman fought etc its actually completely misogynistic because history speaks for itself women have fought hell of alot more than men give them credit for and it sickens me that ppl speak without doing research

ik its been a year since this mod was released but women served and led in the chinese military since 496 bc (first recorded and when Sun Tzu was around) there are a total of 176 female generals before this specific event the smallest command any of them ever led was 8000 soldiers and that was by Liang Yu Quin who served with her husband till he was killed in combat by rebels and she turned around and led his soldiers and defeated 10000 soldiers with 8000 and lost less than 500 soldiers while crushing the opposing forces so pls do ur research before u make such a statement thanks :P (again this was all before this time period and not even including it where there were 17 female generals at the time and entire female regiments of soldiers)

@Sethology You can always use the 'seek spouse' button. AI also use it for their faction leaders as well.

ive had this mod for awhile since ive always thought the amount of female officers in the game was a little jarring. But i gotta say, doesnt having so few women effect marriage potentials? How is ones character expected to find a wife if there are no women spawned in?

while obviously true that extremely few women have ever lead an army before the advent of modern weaponry, its a game and i like looking at girlies

If it's not too much trouble, could you give Yellow Turbans a higher spawn rate for female generals (not as high as vanilla, but high enough that they sometimes show up)? The Yellow Turbans were noted to allow women to lead religious services, so it's plausible for them to sometimes appear as commanders in what was primarily a religious army.

(also, they don't have any legendary women characters or spouses/daughters, and having *nothing* but generic men starts to get a little boring)

It's working just fine. I tried to 'update' it after the 1.7 patch but it since it's exactly the same file, it didn't count.

All those who criticise this mod and label you as so-called 'sexists' are all hypocritical, arrogant and orientalist leftards who hold the ignorance and disrespectfulness against Chinese history and culture. They have all forget a self-evident historical fact is that the more efforts which those ancient countries made to let women away from the battlefield, the more levels they have reached in civilisation.

Cool but reducing the rate of getting a daughter isn't really realistic either. I was hoping to find a mod that would just rework female characters or something to be fitting a more historically accurate role as you still gotta have daughters for marriage and stuff.

I just wanted to share my mod here to those who may hold a different opinion so they can have the option. I'm sure most of us here believe in gender equality as strongly as you do. But we just want our three kingdoms game to feel like its novel counterpart. If you're offended by this mod you always have the option to ignore it, or better yet, you can even create your own mod to give more options to the players so everyone can enjoy their game their way.
