If you have added this mod into the existing save,you need to enable it by selecting save file,and enabling mod for that save.

It's not a custom hat,it's a custom texture.

Simply replace texture in ...\projectzomboid\media\textures\clothes\hat

If you want to publish the custom texture onto workshop,use mod template that exists in the files.

If you want an easy replacement just for yourself,changing textures will work,but it will be replaced after you verify files.

could you do a tutorial on how to make a custom hat in project zomboid? i been trying to figure this out for a long time.
