For some context, i can set what is storable in the box, but it has no actual internal storage.
this mod won't say need Deco anymore.
Trying without it, anyways. Will see... and will report if it doesn't. :)
Is that by design or a bug?
Take your time
@Demi you can add it as is, if you want, but there's room for improvement. I would have done more testing but my game takes about ten minutes to start up on my ancient computer.
Should probably change the UI icon to be the south-facing graphic, and have that be the default facing when building it as well.
<Operation Class="PatchOperationFindMod">
in a file named GFLbookshelf dot xml, and placed that file in this mod's Patches folder, and it appears to work.
This creates a "Deep Bookshelf" building which can store eight Vanilla Books Expanded items. Removed the cloth requirement on the original, the research boost, and allowed stored item beauty to be shown.
If I knew how, I would add a check for Rimwriter's books as well.
In fact, I'm checking to see if I can add it myself. I'll share it through a pastebin or something and you can add it to this mod if you want.
If there is no deep label separating the two boxes, it's probably a translation issue.... maybe.
Are there any red messages in the debug log?
Here is the modlist file from the game. If that helps.

I tested it and it works without any problems.
