Then it should just have a required medical skill level but still be part of a social worktype, because it is social work that depends predominantly on social skill. It is simply bad design to have a worktype be used for something not relevant to its skill, and that doesn't fit in the game. Not saying it's your responsibility to fix *someone else's* design (it's not), it's just conceptually it would definitely be better that way for gameplay
Mlie  [ophavsmand] 18. nov. kl. 21:42
@Silver I assume the author used it as the academic requirements for a psychiatrist is more similar to a doctor than a nurse.
Silver 18. nov. kl. 17:07
it would be a LOT better if it were part of the Nursing worktype. Practicing surgery doesn't make you better at talking to people

could be nice to have an option to hide all the traits until your psychologist examines them closesly, like in this mod:

my pawn got PTSD after giving birth to her daughter 11/10 mod
Shigemi Notoge 30. juli kl. 15:46
Don't suppose there's any way, though an update here or an additional mod to separate counselling from doctoring tasks in the work menu? I have a great doctor who is level 20 social, but her husband always gets to them first and he's only 2 social. It's creating issues for my colony.

People with adhd should be slightly more likely to make legendary or master piece artwork, because of the fact that adhd leads to disorganised often times sporadic thought patterns that allow for greater realms of creativity, alternatively they could be given a foraging bonus (yes thats an actual stat) because studies find people with adhd are better at foraging

People with autism should have either have a slight mood bonus when working in a specific working time (+1 as long as theyve been scheduled to do something during this period) but lose -10 mental when forced to work during designated recreation time or they should just gain a +1% work speed bonus
Mlie  [ophavsmand] 27. juli kl. 7:20
@TheSpectrum I see, perhaps you can report that to the author of it
TheSpectrum 27. juli kl. 7:18
@Mile Meanwhile I realized that what I'm speaking of only Occurs if you want to add the Health Condition in "Character Editor" mod, where you have to set a percentage, but can only set whole values.
funkyfishy 26. juli kl. 15:05
@Mile Thanks for the reply, I just want the mod to be as realistic as possible. Like having a work force with autistic people that does nothing more than craft, blissful slav... uh.. workers ;)
Mlie  [ophavsmand] 26. juli kl. 11:58
@funkyfishy I have no idea, you would have to ask the original author about design decisions
funkyfishy 26. juli kl. 11:52
Why hasn't the disorders some positive effects on performance? Both ADHD/ADD and Autism has hyperfocus/hyperfixation that should trigger when a pawn is doing things it loves (which should be limited to one thing, or change randomly with adhd) but forgets to eat/sleep/everything.

Also, being depressed should make you more creative but we have Tortured Artist for that. ;)

When having a psychopath it's actually a good thing and that should reflect when it comes to the disorders as well imho. A blessing or a curse-kind of way.
Mlie  [ophavsmand] 24. juli kl. 14:41
@TheSpectrum There is a level 2, its a list, it cannot be missing a level.
TheSpectrum 24. juli kl. 13:35
Hi there is a bug - Autism has only Level 1 and 3 and 3 is from 20% but it gives a huge disadvantge on talking. Will be there a level 2?

Hello, nice mod, i have severe-combined ADHD and it seems "smokeleaf" help me seriously to get focus on a task irl, can you add a second medication that is made by smokeleaf or make that when ADHD people smoke, they get less ADHD or temporary cured in function of the severity?
Could you add too the types of the ADHD like : Hyperactive, Unfocused or Combined ?
I'll join your Discord for get you ideas, i played it on 1.5 and it was so realistic
Thanks :) i saw you decided to update your mod, thank :)
TheSpectrum 12. juli kl. 8:31
Thank you, you are the best!
Mlie  [ophavsmand] 12. juli kl. 5:04
@LudenReborn Updating all my mods, see discord for progress
TheSpectrum 12. juli kl. 4:00
Will we get a 1.6 update? I really loved this mod!
Noxilie 31. maj kl. 13:14
So, I found (and fixed - check the pull request please) of the infinite loop with COCD mental state
github issue [github.com]
bumrum 29. maj kl. 10:05
thank you mile. sorry if this gave you headache
Snekenjoyer6 28. maj kl. 14:04
I said it once, and i will say it 100 more times, Mlie deserves free whatever the hell they want for life- for all they've done for the rimworld community!
Mlie  [ophavsmand] 28. maj kl. 11:37
@bumrum Added an option to not automatically schedule counselling, hopefully that helps
bumrum 26. maj kl. 3:13
@Mlie its fine, my communication skills are garbage. was just venting about a feature of the mod is all. my complaints similar to onions down there. not asking for a fix just if its intentional that the counseling un suspending itself is intended
Mlie  [ophavsmand] 26. maj kl. 3:04
@bumrum Sorry, I dont understand what you are referring to?
bumrum 26. maj kl. 1:06
only thing i really hate about this mod is the conditions it adds autoadds operations that seem to just randomly re enable themselves after being suspended.
X23 20. nov. 2024 kl. 17:30
if you ever did decide to expand it you should add some positives like a pawn with adhd getting a random manipulation buff as well as breaking after that idk though i think it would be more fun and have a better reason to take pawns with them also would make it more realstic
kamiowo 23. okt. 2024 kl. 5:14
aighty!
Mlie  [ophavsmand] 20. okt. 2024 kl. 9:59
@kamiowo I am not planning on expanding on the mod
kamiowo 20. okt. 2024 kl. 9:58
add SHELLSHOCK. (how it would work:when many shells are exploding around the colonist,he would bassicly get SHELLSHOCK wich gives him a mood penalization)
Onion 24. sep. 2024 kl. 0:08
Love the concept! but ironically over everything, the thing making it harder is that counseling is automatic! It would be great if there was a way to toggle it.

I was wondering why my colony was starting to slog, and it turns out its because everyone was focused on washing and feeding prisoners who would lay in bed all day because they had an ""operation"" haha

sorry if this option is somewhere already, I can't seem to find it!
RenegadeFish 8. juli 2024 kl. 17:53
Whoops, sorry, I was looking at the comments to see if anyone had any solutions, totally missed that. If I encounter the problem again, I'll do that, sadly my autosaves with the bug have all been overwritten now :(
Mlie  [ophavsmand] 8. juli 2024 kl. 4:06
@RenegadeFish Please see the Reporting Issues section described above
RenegadeFish 8. juli 2024 kl. 3:41
Nevermind, that didn't actually work. Every time he was healed enough to move, he'd have another Obsessive Cleaning mental break, and I'd have to repeat the process. Ultimately had to reset to an earlier autosave. Ah well
RenegadeFish 8. juli 2024 kl. 3:24
Can 100% confirm Obsessive Cleaning is broken. My pawn still tries to do things despite the mental break, and this absolutely tanks my ticks per second/frame rate. I tried to get another pawn to snap him out of it, it resulted in him being frozen in place and unable to move, because the mental state didn't end. I had to go into the debug actions menu and forcibly down him, which cleared everything right up (although then he developed PTSD from being downed, on top of the OCD, so... IDK what to say)
bubbli 24. juni 2024 kl. 10:21
finally I can make myself
True Mind 28. maj 2024 kl. 13:54
Depressive, alcohol and smoke-leaf addicted, autistic, ugly. 0-3 in all skills. no passions. Fat body type.
Finally, true self-insert character.
Trapus 24. maj 2024 kl. 23:50
would you believe thats what an actual ocd mental break looks like?
❀ Lilac Starbloom ❀ 1. apr. 2024 kl. 6:11
There's a bug with fridges that makes it so that when a pawn with OCD is going on an obsessive cleaning mental break, they rapidly and repeatedly take something out and put it back in over and over again
Mlie  [ophavsmand] 24. mar. 2024 kl. 0:38
@Stellar Harbour Id say that it just adds complexity
Stellar Harbour 23. mar. 2024 kl. 23:49
Does this mod adds any upsides to game? Or it makes it ONLY harder?
turDucken 2. mar. 2024 kl. 21:02
s'aight all the best
Mlie  [ophavsmand] 2. mar. 2024 kl. 1:34
@turDucken I have no more info than what the original author added, sorry
turDucken 2. mar. 2024 kl. 1:26
it's jank. Obsessive cleaning event is broken and the fact that all conditions added by the mod have no proper descriptions makes me question the mod's credibility on the subject of disorders. sry if i seemed harsh
turDucken 21. feb. 2024 kl. 21:18
Thanks I'll try it out
Runzu 16. dec. 2023 kl. 17:11
@Mlie Hello! I asked Orion and they said it was beyond the scope of the Therapy mod. Howeverm if you had time or desire, they said it's open source on their GitHub, so if you wanted to change anything, they would merge your pull requests!

Whatever you decide to do, thank you for all the mods and for being patient with my questions. :slimetabby:
Runzu 14. dec. 2023 kl. 14:18
Okay, I'll ask over there! Thankies! :slimetabby:
Mlie  [ophavsmand] 14. dec. 2023 kl. 14:06
@Runzu I guess that mod could be patched to affect the disorders in this mod as well, but it would have to be done on their end
Runzu 14. dec. 2023 kl. 13:16
Is there a way for this to also work with the Therapy mod?
winter_ 10. aug. 2023 kl. 13:55
Why does my sheep have autism?
vogerv 20. maj 2023 kl. 13:09
PTSD after succesfull medical operation? Sério? "Of course, I was downed - and who cares that it was anestesia?"
