@Lord Roguy this mod was last updated two years ago, i'd hesitate to call it entirely dead since idk what's going on behind the scenes, but it's definitely outdated

the photos for the civics don't match the mod. the worker self direction says +5% admin cap and +2 level cap in the mod but the photo says otherwise. this is the case for a lot of the photos. admin cap isn't even a thing anymore. what gives? bug or outdated?

@fisherb1986 As usual, internet users think "communism" is just the Soviet Union and don't bother researching what it actually means. Marxism-Leninism is not communism, it's state socialism, and that's what you're referring to. The idea that "everything is owned by the government" only applies to authoritarian, collectivist forms of socialism (as we've seen in real life) and do not constitute the ideals of communism.

Regardless, anarchism and communism have the same end goal; the end of the state. Communism's way of achieving this is by the state's withering away and anarchism's way of doing this is violent and immediate revolution.

@fisherb1986 You're conflating the idea of "government" and "state". State =! government; government is the rule of a governing party and the state is the government's monopoly on enforcement and violence.

@Laser Samurai Technically speaking, if your an " Anarchist " Your against ALL forms of government including the communist ideology because it is a form of government. Anarchist do not believe in any forms of law and order, you do not believe in any type of governing body over a state. In fact an Anarchist do not even recognize in a concept of a State in any shape or form. So, stating that your an so called Anarchist and Communist is a contradiction in terms if you really think about it. Communist believe in a strong centralized government body that controls all forms of production in the state. They also control and own all property in within the state including all goods being produced and distributed in the state. Citizens do not have any form of private property down to the cloths on their backs due to the Communist ideology that everything is owned by the government. An Anarchist would be against this concept. Just pointing out some technicalities in your statement.

The Shared Burden civic is already very libertarian biased, requiring the fanatic egalitarian ethic. It's very vague and never implies anything like space gulags. It's actually impossible to make a centralised socialist society.

Cultural overhaul does much better job at this with the cooperative ethic

lmao at the people in this thread getting mad about communism actually being a real proletarian democracy, unlike bourgeois liberal democracies, rather than the counter-revolutionary Stalinist authoritarian state they like to reduce it to. No matter where you go, if communism comes up there's always at least one.

Would love to see some changes to the leader/governor visual/naming system. Maybe have the leader visual be an image of 3/4 people to imply a council, or even a symbol(?). Kinda takes you out of the rp if the communist planets have a single governor and the empire has a single elected ruler... I don't think(?) any change in mechanics would be required...
