Im not sure if this is still being worked on, but regeneration stalls out completely after you enter dying state, it seems

Although, author, could you put a link to your original on this one? I searched "immortal race" and your original was buried several pages in due to all of these custom race mods people have made. Thank you for adding compatibility! This is my favorite race to start as. Makes a solo character much hardier, though not invincible. lol

just look up immortal race, one that doesnt have requirements is the first one that pops up. And yes, this is just for compatibility patches with more popular mods.
