Are any of these spells modded? Mentioning which these are, and/or taking a picture of the spell chain, might help if I can find time to tinker with this.

Okay then I'm doing it correctly and it just doesn't appear to work with some certain projectile spells. Certain spells just make it no longer ever summon a totem no matter the configuration until they're swapped with something compatible.

As in, you put it in the same position you'd put other modifiers (like damage up, cost down, et cetera). Some modifiers like damage field will be able to attach to the totem itself, but these will likely not affect the projectile the totem fires.

Ah, do you mean it needs to go after? I've gotten it to work with a few things with it before what it's casting, as expected, but some others don't. Unfortunately I started modding this early and now I don't know what's mod and what's vanilla.

Compatible within the base game, or with other mods? Keep in mind that the Totem effectively "eats" the projectile after you fire it and then recreates it, due to code limitations; it's possible you may be putting the support in the wrong position.

Having a hard time finding anything compatible with spell totem, which is really sad because it was what I was most excited to use.

Understandable.

The obvious gems, I think, would be more damage support gems first. We have Point Blank and Combustion, and forgive my bad memory and the last time I played PoE was probably the season before the previous, it'd be nice to see ice, lightning, and chaos damage supports. There's a spell, probably from a mod like Varia, that adds Rainbow Shot or something, every projectile can inflict 1 of various effects, including poison damage over time, that might give an idea how to apply poison without using Noita's actual poison liquid/effect. Besides that... well, only thing I can think of currently is Spectral Throw, I'll have to look at the wiki or boot up the game to think of other gems I'd like to see added.

You certainly can, though there's no guarantee I'll get around to them as I've been pretty busy with other things (like PoE. heh)

"Reality shifting" would most likely be fungal related as that's the only time I've seen that appear. I've not encountered this, it could be an incompatibility between mods or a load order issue.

Can we make suggestions/requests? I've only recently come across this because of the Spells Evolutions mod (they linked yours as compatible and recommended). I'm a very casual PoE player, but I do love the game, and these spells so far are cool. I'd love to see more skill gems brought over in Noita style.

thanks for telling me i still have no clue what mod keeps doing this even though ive disabled everything and re-enabled everything one at a time it still happens it seems to be no specific mod doing this.

This mod does not introduce any random events; the only thing that could be described as a "reality shift" is the Breach spell, and it's an ability activated by the wand with no textual announcement.

I keep getting a constant "reality shifts" event happening when i try to trouble shoot it leads me to this mod it gets annoying having enemys on my team. idk if it is this mod doing or something compatibility wise is causing this event to happen more than it should.

Double-checked the Kinetic Blast secondary explosion spawns and they seem to be deleting themselves after getting the explosion over and done with. Not sure what the cause of lag would be. On the topic of Tendrils, might tweak its terrain dig capability a bit in future, but I think it's pretty alright as-is given the potential for self-electrocution.

First of all, great mod. I haven't yet tried all the spells with 'sufficient links' but what I've tried feels good.
Possibly too good. Two spell especially stand out to me.

Lightning Tendrils: It feels just a tad too impactful, especially its digging potential. It just chews through most things without any seeming effort. Overall though the spread increase does both help mitigate absolute single target OP-ness but in high-frequency casts also helps to just annihilate all of the environment.

Kinetic Blast: ...is ridiculous. It is on point long range, massive damage and great at digging. However there may also be something wrong with it. My game kept slowing down more and more so I tried to isolate why. It only happened when (and in a 1/x fashion) with how much I used kinetic blast. It feels like there is either some lingering interaction with the game or there may be a termination order missing in its code.

Yep. Might have been something that changed on or near 1.0, or something specific to my hardware, but getting any decent amount of cast speed up made it completely tank my FPS.

are you sure? i was using the crumbling glacial cascade all the time and never had any lag o.O

Unfortunately, I haven't been able to find a way to make Glacial Cascade behave quite right; when I had it set up so the ice particles crumbled after being created, it made a tremendous amount of lag. I want to retain the effect of having physical ice to block projectiles or create a bridge, so its current state is the closest compromise I could manage. This may change in a future update if I figure it out.

glacial cascade seems bugged, the ice doesn't disappear, making the spell unplayable

I've played about a dozen games post 1.0 with this enabled (2 farthest runs were jungle), so it seems to be completely functional. If you run into some weird crash with later content that you suspect might be related to this mod, let me know.

Incinerate seems to work best with two of itself. After that it just seems to consume more mana, not do a whole lot of extra damage and kill my frames!

Incinerate's mana cost can't be cleanly decreased by a small amount, but its damage may be buffed a bit in a future update.

can you please decrease Incinerate's mana cost a bit? for what it does, it's kind of useless with how much mana it tends to use.

finally i can play PoE without fps drops and random freezes! and i dont have to update my loot filter!
i love it. please add more ice spells, those are my fav. frostbolt as water inside icy circle that breaks on impact maybe? ice storm using the cloud spell type? there's so much potential with this mod.

Things like Volley would be difficult to implement, as Noita has limited support for "holding" an action and repeating it (also the reason why Spell Totem isn't a support). I will likely add more things in future, but those in particular are unlikely.

Mind throwing an update out with possible more skills? I'd absolutly love to be able to use GMP or Greater Volley, or even Barrage with some of the spells in Noita and see how stupid it can get
