Rhee Syngman was the first president of the Provisional Government of the Republic of Korea in Shanghai in 1919.Therefore, I don't think there's a problem with Rhee Syngman's picture going into this mode.

Thought I should point out, Syngman Rhee was more a late 40’s & a 50’s Cold War era Korean president. During the 30’s & WW2, he was only a chairman of the foreign relations department of the exiled Korean provisional government in Chongqing (China).
The president of the Korean provisional government in exile in the mid 30’s is Yi Dong-nyeong:
