@shadowkatt theres a water option for DBH which makes this obsolete, the chances of you seeing this is low but whatever, also if you use LWM's Deep storage it also lags out the game, Rimfactory storage is alot better

Okay, question time: Is there anything about the performance of this mod that I need to know about? I've played with NWNL several times. Love it. Love the complexity, love the realism(wish it was a bit more compatible with bad hygiene but can't win them all). The problem I have with the mod though is the performance. Whether it's in a pack of mods or all by itself(Mostly vanilla) it works fine for a while but after time has passed the performance drops staggeringly. And I mean staggering because it starts to freeze, first only once in a while but given enough time it slows to a slideshow. Normally I just bite the bullet and play on but I want to use this mod in a youtube series and I can't have it doing this for something I'm actually producing. Are there any bugs, any memory leaks, any problems related to the performance of this mod long term that are known and/or fixed?

Updated point is VGP related patch renewal and Rimworld 1.2 version support.(It's so simple.)
I already send Pull Request to schoos76, but still no response...

If you end up updating, you should add water needs for plants. That might add a little extra work, but that would add another really cool feature to this already cool mod. Water isn't just needed by humans, but also every animal and plant.

@Schwarz It seems I was having the same problem you were. I just went into the xml defs and removed the section that allows raw water, mud water, and sea water to rot. It's a little less realistic, but now pawns always choose to drink/take normal and clear water whenever it's available

Does anyone have an issue with pawns only taking raw water instead of normal water? For some reason, my pawns have a tendency to run right past my nice stacks of normal water into the kitchen to pick up my raw water and I can't for the life of me get them to stop

@AmbiguousMonk you need to supply filtered water to water boxes with pipes, and roof above the boxes (drain any existing non-filtered water). Not sure if they get sick from 'water', but you might not need to filter it to 'clear water'

Has anyone figured out a workaround for animals constantly getting food poisoning from water drawing spots? I love this mod and basically can't play without it, but the frequent animal food poisoning (especially for small animals like chickens) drives me up the wall

Hi, Is there an update for 1.2 version?
I spot some strange behavior while using Combat Extended, especially in cold biomes. When I create a loadout, I force to keep one bottle of water in the inventory. The problem raises when they are outside and water freezes. Then they do not have a bottle of water anyonger in their inventory, but an ice. So they go to exchange ice for a water - that's a waste of time. If it's really cold they have the water only for a short time and then ice appears again. I tried to solve it by puting both water and ice in the loudout, but the result is even worse, cause when they are in hot are the ice melts, so they go to pick up some ice again and again. This is anoying. Any solution for that?

What I do is clear the zone area over and adjacent to water you don't want them to drink from, then build a barn with sleeping spots and the waterbox and build pipes to it from your water tank.

Also, if I have a wooden water box outside and it collects rain water then another water box inside, connected to the first, should have the same water level? Is this supposed to work?

Anyone else using "better infestation" with this mod? Bugs do spawn but they die from dehydration. Its strange there is a river at the hive but they just dont drink and die.

Dub's Bad Hygiene offers nothing big about water needs. You can turn on thirst there but it will only reduce FPS but will not change the gameplay. Dub's Bad Hygiene about hygiene, this mod about water need.

For anyone lamenting that this isn't really being maintained, Dub's Bad Hygiene offers this functionality in its 'Experimental' tab. Though there are not nearly as many buildings devoted to water collection. But it does add a thirst need, a fountain and a few other things.
