Massive empty levels and an interesting start to recruit team members, but incomplete and buggy. Finishes just as it's promising bigger things. The levels are well thought out make thematic sense. Perhaps a few too many items and credchips around, but it promotes exploration. Charisma 4 goes a long way.

Know what would be sweet is like a kickstarter for UGC or something. I'd have no problem paying for new campaigns on this IP, if there're a better steam way to do it
Vexacuz 23 apr, 2023 @ 11:41
Seems like another abandoned UCG. Can't say i am surprised, barely any activity in Shadowrun gaming in general, man i am sad.
Stay Classy 7 jul, 2022 @ 14:40
Is there any work being done on this currently? I'd like to download a new campaign but was hoping for something that is finished.
Jay 6 maj, 2022 @ 13:05
This has quite a lot of potential to be a complete Custom Campaign. I'm looking forward to, hopefully, seeing this expanded.

I'll get back to it eventually. Once I'm over my temper tantrum at the editor being frustrating and annoying. Sorry for the delay :)

Fun mod, but after more than a year of no signs of life (or new comments) I'm starting to wonder if this will ever be finished.
rowanlobos 13 aug, 2020 @ 17:49
Enjoyed the various runs to recruit the team members, really looking forward to what happens next!
artemitavik 13 jul, 2020 @ 22:03
Yeah, was playing through this again, just to do so, and man, I am thirsty for this mod to keep going. So much potential to go.
JayM1900 9 jul, 2020 @ 14:57
Enjoyed the game so far, a good and interesting start. I'm really looking forward to more content, I think this has the potential to be a great mod.

Still had that bug with being able to get endless karma with Simon after I've done the first recruitment run. I think the dialogues could be fleshed out a bit more to add more atmosphere even though I appreciate there not being endless screens to click through just for the sake of it.
artemitavik 21 jun, 2020 @ 1:17
Holy crap...

This mod's beginning is incredible. I really, really am interested in the rest of the story. I hope it is long and full of options and sandbox style missions to take!

It would be even better if there was some sort of randomizer too to play continuous missions like SR Unlimited mod does in Dragonfall. Earn money and resources and stuff to fortify your little corner of the Barrens, get security, defend against attacks, have random missions to get resources or make contacts. The set up you have here is screaming for ongoing story and I'm just waiting now for it... :D

I really like the characters you created. I'm curious to see where you'll go with that story. I'm eager to see the next chapter.
count_zer01 17 maj, 2020 @ 8:29
This is a terrific opening scene, but where's the plot?
Xen 10 maj, 2020 @ 20:20
It's not complete yet, and has a few minor bugs, but the missions thus far are pretty fun :)
Bort  [skapare] 27 apr, 2020 @ 4:07
Hi Epsilon, thanks for playing. Currently, there is nothing for the adept in the starter missions. This is because spells, weapons, armour, etc, are all physical items that can be picked up in the world. Adept abilities are techniques the adept has learned, and require no further study, unlike magic.

I hadn't decided how to approach this when I released this, but have put a fix in for when the next part is launched that means you should be able to start with a few adept abilities.

The next part ready to go, but I have a bug that is game breaking. It will be released as soon as that is fixed and it's all been tested.
EpsilonRho 26 apr, 2020 @ 17:17
Pretty good Story so far, I'm definitely curious to see where it goes. Just a couple of nitpicks though; are there any places in the first few missions where I can pick up adept gear? I was playing a physical adept with a focus on unarmed weapons, and the only thing I could find that was vaguely helpful to my build was a baseball bat. Also, the text on the loading screens keeps changing between second-person perspective (ex: "You grabbed your coat and walked out of your house.") and first person (ex: I grabbed my coat and walked out of my house."). Beyond that, keep up the good work.

"or someone's trying to secure your presence because it works into his schemes."

Well, that's not wrong. One of the reasons rent is so low there is because Simon expects the residents to chip in and help out in the area, like growing food in the greenhouses, strict laundry rotas, and so on.

You're also right about the 'nearly abandoned' part. The Wedge does have a local population, but it is a small one, and several of them live in the caravans, rather than the apartments.

Although I will admit that the lack of bathrooms was more down to me not being able to get them to fit in the map properly. The next release, Wedge inhabitants have their own bathrooms, and basic cooking facilities in their apartments.

There is still a lack of washing machines. Maybe Simon will have the runners pick some up.
Tola 20 apr, 2020 @ 19:35
Hey, they already have a shaman who volunteers to treat wounds. That's a major start for people who think they need to turn a nearly abandoned apartment building with two washing machines and stoves in a community commons into something approaching a safehouse, even if it doesn't compare to someone that can install cyberware.

For anyone who's wondering (probably nobody), the Wedge is offering a lifestyle bargain. Most runners can't get digs as fancy as a rusted hulk of a freighter moored near a variety of useful shops; just having a roof over your head with strictly rationed water and electricity usually costs double what the protagonist is asked. Granted, food is usually part of that lifestyle cost.. but it's still low enough to suggest that there are issues (like the lack of bathrooms) or someone's trying to secure your presence because it works into his schemes.

A promising start and awesome to see new content. Definitely need to get that mall open and a street doc in there.

Hopefully the extract target needs a place to hang his hat too!
Bort  [skapare] 5 apr, 2020 @ 1:39
On the subject of "next update," chapter two will be released in two parts. The first will only contain three missions, but will be out in about a week or so. The other will be the rest of chapter two... As and when it's done.
Bort  [skapare] 5 apr, 2020 @ 1:37
Thanks Kremlin. Fixed for the next update.
kremlinkoa2 4 apr, 2020 @ 20:34
Minor bug
When you return from Paul with the Chip, you can do the 'hand over chip and get paid' conversation over and over indefinitely. For unlimited cash.
DaveOfDeath 29 mar, 2020 @ 19:08
There's some YouTube tutorials from HBS about walls and floors that is dated but perhaps could be of some assistance on that.
Bort  [skapare] 29 mar, 2020 @ 2:08
Heh, yeah. I had come to much the same conclusion myself about the apartments. I'm planning on making a few changes there now I have a better understanding of how the maps work, before I release part 2.
DaveOfDeath 28 mar, 2020 @ 20:02
You're off to a descent start. I'd suggest reducing the size of some some of your hub maps though. The apartments are huge, and definitely need to be polished up. Add a kitchenette and bathroom, and a reduction in their size by at least 50%.

Adding some proper walls and corners would make it feel more polished as well.

Maybe add a decor option, as something to spend some money on? Not necessarily an individual.component customization, but a theme you can buy? Think fallout 3 safehouses. "Order sci-fi theme, or wasteland theme, or science theme". Something to make it feel "yours"
Drauz 27 mar, 2020 @ 16:24
It's got some potential chummer! Heck anyone still making content for this games is Awesome, thanks for the content!!!
BubbaDave 26 mar, 2020 @ 17:55
Echoing the others -- nice little start, I like the idea of starting off with the clothes on your back, and I look forward to seeing longer missions in future.
Nova Solarius 22 mar, 2020 @ 4:38
A decent start. Will be following this.

A tip for new players: do the drone part mission first, nets you guns, a deck, a drone and a fair amount of money if you have the right skills.
Dexind 21 mar, 2020 @ 14:49
Just finished part 1. Really solid work! Good writing and a nice set-up. Good use of dialogue/charisma options. I really liked how you steal equipment instead of automatically getting them at the beginning of the game. It made the story feel more unique. I'm really looking forward to part 2!
Desync 17 mar, 2020 @ 16:53
Really enjoyable. The main hub feels desolate but I like how you did it as part of the story since the region itself is supposed to be like that. Simon was also hinting that he hopes to get some more services running over there with more time =) Thanks for the work!
Bort  [skapare] 17 mar, 2020 @ 3:27
That's the plan, Pitsukuro. Thanks for playing.
pitsukoro 17 mar, 2020 @ 3:09
Solid start. Loved the rigger van's flavor text. Hopefully the missions in chapter 2 will be longer.
DaveOfDeath 15 mar, 2020 @ 21:37
I'll give this a try when I next fire up the computer...
