I am having a little tiny problem with this mod. The single MRE (and the medkit) works just fine, but I can't salvage the other packs. Is there a fix I don't know about, because I really like this mod. :D

You can only craft the MREs down from mre to food.

Yeah, I took a look at what I could and those spawn tables are a pain to modify in that way. It might be possible to make the 2 spawn at the same rate so they do at least spawn naturally on maps. Might cause confusion though, so not sure. Another possibility could be adding the crafting recipe to the vanilla MRE, but it seems like that would be either very difficult or impossible to pull off while still giving it all the other improvements.

I'm also gonna do some little experiments with ways to randomize what the crafting recipe gives you if I can. If I can find efficient enough of one it could be used some day to add even more realism by having different MRE menus just like their real-life equivalents. That's a long shot, of course, but hey, I'll take any excuse to tinker with/try to break games when I've got nothing else to do so this time, my excuse is doing it in the name of science...kind of.

Thank you for the suggestion TheGreatK0rnholio ! I do plan on adding a lot more to this mod as time goes on and custom items will come in the future. As far as forcing these to spawn instead of vanilla MREs I have not figured out without redoing spawn tables on the map.

I have a few things to mention:

First, I like this and I'm looking forward to seeing what features get added. It's a well-made mod that does exactly what it says, nothing more and nothing less. That's the best kind of mod if you ask me.

And now for the other things: would it be alright if I tried to make a version of this that replaces the default MREs completely? I like these a lot better, so I want to see if I can make these spawn on official maps instead of the normal MREs. Also, I'm not very good at 3D modeling but if you ever decide to take it a step further and add custom items it gives you from scrapping it to make it even more realistic, I could maybe make a few basic models (and textures to go with them) based on US MRE items. If you ever want to do that and want or need an extra set of hands for it, HMU since I'd be glad to help out and to be honest I could use the practice anyway lol
