Cubes through grids is a glitch in the user created maps. It has been there since day 1. it doesn't always works, but most times it does.

I, too, took the faith plate route to the exit instead of the intended.route.

You don't really need the alternative route to the exit. I didn't see it at first and just used portals to drop down onto the faithplate that fires the CC to open the door. When I got there I saw the route open back to the start area. Great chamber

Thanks jeepdigger89 for playing my room , your glitch is actually a visual flaw the sphere is caught in the angle plate and if you fired into the first angle panel the sphere would have fell.
