For 99% of the times it will work for newer versions, I mostly only bump the compatibility version and do a recompile compilation, there is almost never anything that breaks this simple mod.
Is there any way you could make the button static, maybe in the bottom right side of the screen with the overlay toggles? Just an idea :)
