+1 to add option that allow to remember ZONE list between launches and landings. Setting same zone after every landing too boring.

yup, just another Odyssey thing that mods will need to be adjusted for. It's a minor inconvenience to just reset it each time, but hopefully it'll be fixed eventually

Agreeing with PlayerEmers -- every jump resets the cleaning zone list to the home zone. The cleaning zone I've set up covers the ship, so it still exists on landing, but it's no longer being cleaned.

I noticed, when I had 6 zones set up, everytime my cleaner pawn was looking for work, I had 3s lagspikes. Dubs Perf.Analizer showed me a 3000ms processing time. Reduced it to 3 zones now and it works fine.

The lagspike wasn't there from the start, but only after a certain colony size.

Writing this in case anyone else also has lagspikes they can't allocate, to try and reduce the priority list and see if it changes.

I love this mod, but I wish there was a way for my cleaners to do some cleaning "on the way" between higher priority cleaning zones. Ie, when on a trip between different cleaning zones, clean at most floor(x% * trip length) times along the way.

At the top it mentiones a soft incompatibility.

I've accidentally had them both active, yes, but the pawns adhered to the cleaning priority (I never put a zone into the other mod). And now it doesn't work with either mod, so what's the issue asking if anyone has an idea that might help?

Jixxor the case that youve send the exact same message to another cleaning mod(cleaningareatemp) doesnt really show that its this mods fault that it doesnt work.
If you have several mods doing the same, it can happen that all of them stop working.
Especially if you mention two mods which do the same as the mod ive seen your comment previously smh.

Maybe this helps figuring out why the zones don't work for me? Does anyone have a clue how I can get this to work again?
It worked fine, then I messed up and removed a mod from an ongoing run. I had to restore zones using the Mid-saver Saver mod which fixed the grey screen issue. But ever since then no cleaning area type mods want to work anymore.
Am I just cooked?

@Lord Abortion If you still need help solving this problem, you can try installing Vanilla Furniture Expanded - Props and Decor. This mod allows you to set decals and props (including blood) to decorate your colony. I have not tested it myself, but I am almost one hundred percent sure that the pawns will not perceive these objects as dirt

For those who can't figure out how to start using the mod, like me, it is in a broom icon in the bottom right corner with the rest of them. At the very top row (depending on how many mods yall have that add icons).

Very sad, but this is FPS killer for me. Regular spikes to zero FPS, even with one zone only.

maybe you can remove that places from clean zone and use bins for waste disposal from vanilla furniture expanded they remove trash and filth but i think they leave blood havent tested it yet

@Mlie, could be worth adding to description? There's a soft incompatibility with Dubs Bad Hygiene: pawns clean outside of the designated zone. Turning off "prefer indoor cleaning" in DBH options solves the problem.

Is there something similar for buildings repairing? I need some walls to be repaired outside of my Home Area.

I can confirm as Alucard Nosfera explained, if you are having issues with the AI cleaning the wrong areas, or constantly toggling between two tiles causing lag and getting the IA stuck in a n endless jiggle loop, check if you have the dubs bad hygene mod and disable the "prefer indoor cleaning" there. This one was interfering with the targeting of the AI.

where do I access and change the priority list of cleaning zones? I can't seem to find it anywhere

@Darkbubu Did you by chance use one or more of the performance mods
Rocket ... something does check and patch performance issue on its own, needs to be installed at the end of your mod list and dubs Performance Anylser gives you some other options which i havent myself yet looked further into, but from the discription it sounds like you could with a higher degree of certainty pinpoint to the mods causing issues.

How does this interact with Common Sense's setting to have pawns clean around benches before working?

lately i had the same problem, that cleaning priority didn't work anymore after i added and changed several mods.

Now i have found a solution for my problem and wanted to share:

I switched from bad hygiene lite to the non lite Version.
In the settings of this mod, in the extra features tab, there is an option to "prefer cleaning indoors" (bottom left side, my version is in german, so the text could slightly differ in english).

I don't know if this option was set from the start or set through myself, but unchecking it solved my problem.

@Mlie I have the same issue. I have removed the Home area from the cleaning list and added in a new one specifically for cleaning. The issue only seems to occur when my pawns are restricted to an area, when they are set to unrestricted they clean the correct area. I do have some mods but I don't think they'd interfere with this one

I'm seeing the same thing as Eddy. I suppose it could be a mod conflict somewhere, but I believe the only possible conflict I could have is with the area inclusion and exclusion mod.

so i created a new area called it "cleaning"
in the list I added that area to the list and killed the home zone,
however they are still cleaning the home zone completely ignoring the cleaning area. anybody else?

I'm sorry, I don't have a way to illustrate the issue, and really shouldn't be dropping useless snark in the official mod thread :/ My save(s) would never load without all the mods, and it seems to be very random. I will try to keep an eye out, perhaps I can find something useful in the future! My apologies again, and I appreciate the mod!
