Actually, just found what causes the crash, if anyone has the issue. Don't put your graphic settings all the way to the maximum, for some reason it crashes the map.

Honestly this desperately needs an update since so much of it still remains unfinished. Its a super well detailed map for the bits that are actually finished but I just hope this gets an update or someone else makes a different iwo jima map.

Okay if anybody's game is crashing upon loading in the EDEN Editor go to options in the main menu and turn all your graphics to the lowest possible number then load it, it should work.

@max Hey Max, a unit I’m in is eventually going to start a 2nd Battalion, 27th Marine Regiment campaign in your map around May. I was wondering if you eventually planned on adding the hills 362A, B, & C, Hill 382, and The Gorge? I love what I’ve seen so far and explored in the editor, you’ve done a fantastic job!

Hmmmmm tired this again today having seen reports that it might be working. Sadly still crashing 3den whenever I try to load the map . . . very odd bug not seen on anything else. I am loading only with the strict dependencies (CBA & FoW). Sad.:steamsad:

Ok, I have found the "crashing Problem" everyone has been talking about. The problem is likely there are too many assets loading at a single time which in turn causes an overload and a crash. The way to fix it is turn your graphics all the way down (I mean all the way down) and load the map.

I would like to mention to the Dev that the reason for too many assets is likely Mount Suribachi having too many rocks. I understand it looks cool but I do think its a bit more realistic if it was less rocky and more fortified with mg and mortar positions. The mountain is also too sloped for a full and real invasion. The west side specifically is where Marines pushed and ultimately took the Mountain. But otherwise this is a very good map and has potential of being one of the best terrains in Arma 3. I originally wrote that the map crashed arma when trying to load. However, that is no longer the case. It loads fine, dunno what I did. The map is a labor of love I can tell, awsome work!

Hello, I would like to use this map as a setting for a mission, but my Arma crashes when I load the map in the editor. I thought it might be an unlisted dependency that I was missing, but when I tried to open IwoJimaV2.pbo , pboManger stops responding. Would you please update this mod, we would all like to play it very much. Thank you!
