What you could also do, is to take a look at the mod files, themself. Go to your steam folder and open steamapps/workshop/content/394360/2017394128/gfx/entities. There should be 5 files:
german_colonies_artillery.asset; german_colonies_vehicle.asset; NMB_camelry.asset; NMB_units_infantry.asset and schutztruppe.gfx open each of them with a text editor, if the text is legible, I'd assume the file is in order. If it is a random jumble of letters, or if the file is empty, delete the file and verify the game files, that should download it again.
@TheBurritoBadger it works without problem for me. That's why I'm confused that it doesn't work with you guys. The mod doesn't do anything that should have these effects. It doesn't overwrite the vanilla sprites, It doesn't change the UI. It doesn't make sense that you have those problems.
I checked the downloaded version, to see if there is some corruption in the up- or download. But there is no error either, at least when I download it.
The only one of your bugs that I can recreate is the invisible mod sprites, by deactivating the Man the Guns DLC. But the vanilla sprites are still visible, then.
So all I can tell you guys is, the problem must be at your end. Check, if you have MtG, and that it's active, when starting the game. If the problem persists, verify the game files, that should check for mod files as well.
just to be sure it was this mod I turned off all mods and checked again and things were normal with visible sprites.
@Prawlings.Ok, check if the game works normal with only the music mod. If that is fine, it seems that the files of my mod were somehow corrupted, either with the upload or the download. To check that delete the modfolder and verify the game files, so that Steam downloads the mod again.
Regarding Middle Africa, could be done, I'll put that on my to do list.
